There are so many threads about DAK's contract it just boggles the mind.

To me it is not about Dak. Not directly.

Why?

Becuz our team is run by a mega-wealthy family of Jerrah and Stephen Jones.

These guys think success and money and control over same is it's own means and end.

I have no quibbles with that. More power to you.

But fans who say Dak wants too much, it will ruin the team, etc. those fans are not in the Jones's position.

For those saying move on from Dak..

what you are asking the team to do is to lose a huge amount of it's reputation to disengage from Dak over analytics.

Jerrah will not do that. Stephen might, Clay might, Big Mike would..

but Jerrah owns the team and pays everybody their fat checks.

Nobody is going to jump off the cliff to oppose Jerrah.

Jimster was the only one to ever do this and we know what happened.

So your answer is not logic equals conclusion..

it's ego vs cash sales.

Jerrah knows the Cowboys are more valuable with Dak as QB. Not Dalton.

Value and worth and buzz drives Jerrah.

So it's going to be Dak. There is no other choice to Jerrah.

I have resigned myself to this a few weeks back.

It is not about football or X's and O's.

It's about $'s and increasing wealth for them.

This will enrage some of us, make some laugh, others will post snarky posts.

But the answer is clear.

So can we please just stop all the hand-wringing and attacks on each other over viewpoint?

It's just getting repetitive and uninteresting to keep doing it.

Comment is fine.

Still plenty of time to waste on this subject.

Have at it.

The front office thinking dak is worth the contact they are offering him isn't an option right?

I mean why would that make any sense

I am sure it is.

It's clear to me Dak is punishing the FO for waiting so long to take care of him.

Most of the media has come out and said Dallas should have had this done in TC last year.

They ain't wrong. Dak is waiting for the next shoe to drop.

He is making money every minute this goes on.

Dallas on the other hand has to keep adjusting their projected cap as Dak seeks more and more.

I think the saying is..

*Wait till the shi_t hits the fan, folks"

I agree..

Im sure signing Dak is great for their business but it’s bad for their Super Bowl chances.

As a fan..

It's a poison pill potentially.

No sure things in football or life.

We are taking our lives in our hands just gasing our cars at the pump.

Walking around with hand cleaner and multiple masks in our pockets just seems anti-tech.

Or maybe...on another planet far far away
Rayne Dakota Prescott
is a Franchise QB
Or maybe.....Dak's contract is about
X's and O's
Football is strong in this One!!
Dak Haters must be treated with the same level of stupidity and ignorance they've brought upon our Cowboy Nation. We all know what healthy QB debate looks like.....no we dont:lmao2:We love these food fights. This is tame compared to Carter, Henson and Hutchinson not to mention the ugliest part of Cowboy Nation that booed Aikman.

Anyway, Chickens are coming home to Roost...I am just pelting Dak Haters with rotten eggs....Here the story about Dak's accuracy....16 secs in bruh!!

You realize that Dak was offered a contract extension last year and turned it down.

all owners are rich and most try to get cheapest deals and have all used the FT . transition tag, or what not to leverage better deals..the jones are not different.. Washington did this very thong and eventually cut Cousins, the more the NFL allows the QB market to spiral out of control this will happen much more.. rumor had it in 2018 before RW got reupped , they were talking trades with other teams..

If Dak plays under the tag and the outcome is another disappointing season, the Jones will have tough choice to make but paying Dak north of 40 ins insane and shoundnt be just handed out like candy regardless of the jones Bank account as that doesnt come into play as all teams have the same Cap..it was the point of the salary cap to keep the truly rich big market teams from hoarding talent ..

I'm just waiting to hear the excuses when nothing changes this year under a new coaching staff and he's still average... "well, he needs multiple years in the system to get comfortable with it."

"Well, Jarwin isn't a top 10 TE, you've got to have a top 10 TE."

"Well, you have to understand, he lost his Center, it takes multiple years to adapt to a new Center."

"Well, Zeke only gained 1,500 yards this year, he needs to put up at least 1,800 to take the pressure off Dak."

The old man is 78 years old and worth multi BILLION dollars and you state he's going to keep Dak so he can sell some T-shirts?
Jerry wants 1 more Superbowl and that ain't happening with Dak.
Even Jerry knows that by now hence no contract and hello Mr. Dalton.

The Dallas FO has been beating the drum for Dak to be the starter at QB from the very start. They're not likely to switch their druthers anytime soon -- that much hasn't really been in doubt. Dak would have to do something outlandishly foolish to cause that pecking order to change. That's not likely to happen -- I think he knows better than to test fate at this juncture.

Yes, I'm sure their very happy with the team results in the last 3 seasons!!!
That 8-8 was the cherry on the cake....I'm surprised they haven't offered Dak a lifetime contract???:banghead:

Yeah.

Frankly, Dalton is a good fit for us.

He does really well for long stretches and can look unstoppable at times.

His defenses brokedown late in games and he would have to take chances on his own to get back in the game.

Intercepts and fumbles would sink his ship.

If you watch, you will see his issues.

But his 1st 5 years or so..he was much better than Dak.

Made the playoffs like 5 years in a row. Mostly becuz of him. He was their whole team much like Romo was for us.

Can he do it now?

I think so. So I do not see the panic over Dak.

There is much more to be of concern.

At least Dalton is attending the online learning sessions.

Dak?

Having house parties.

They went so far as to offer him $35 million for a 5-year contract!

It's not a lifetime deal but it's a fairly awesome one, nevertheless.

In view of the fact that they let JG walk, It's likely they blame him.
