Dak is the only reason the Cowboys have had a chance

the OLine has NOT been great this season. Dak has faced a lot of pressure and he's bailed out the OL with his quick reads and quick passes

Dak already knows.. He needs a defense that doesn't get trampled when teams stay committed to the run and can get stops when the offense struggles. Because offense are GOING to struggle at times. Sometimes just because they are off and sometimes because the other team's defense is pretty good. When that inevitably happens, the defense needs to step up. Until we get a defense that can do that, it doesn't matter what Dak and the offense do. It will never be enough.

Yep. Especially watching Kansas and Houston's defenses tonight. Dallas defense is like kindergarten compared to how these defenses were hitting tonight.

Yeah it's weird.. Our defense showed up for three straight weeks then went back into a shell against Detroit. A lot of that has to land at the doorstep of the coaches. I don't know WHY the hell they thought they could keep Diggs out and go with essentially 2 rookies (Revel and Steward) starting against that offense. And on top of that he refused to bring any extra pressure thus allowing Goff to sit comfortably in the pocket and pick them apart. If I didn't know better I'd have said he threw the game. But he wouldn't do that ? Would he!?!?!

Do you really consider it discrediting and disrespecting to point out that Dak should have finished that game with ZERO interceptions? Or to say that even with those two interceptions (and Ferguson's fumble) the Cowboys still could have won the game were it not for the piss poor defense they played? I mean who are we disrespecting or discrediting to point out that THOSE were the guys who let us down.. not Dak. The offense scored 30. As far as I'm concerned they did their job. They sure as hell came closer to doing their job than the defense did.. Do you disagree?

Jerry is what we in the business world call a "shiny new object" chaser. Most shiny new objects show up on the offensive side of the ball. Jerry has neglected the defense since the mid 90's. He over values what a good offense can do. Well then again maybe he doesn't. He knows that a high powered offense is box office.. and it seems that's his #1 priority.. Eyeballs on the telly and butts in the seat. And of course merchandise sales. Making money has overtaken any semblance of trying to win IMHO.

Since Dak was drafted, the Cowboys have an 80-51-1 record. He’s the only reason that they’ve even remotely contended for a deep run in the playoffs. His record is despite most seasons having a sub par defense or an offense with no running game or only 1 WR. He’s never had good defense with an offense like he has now. Uneducated fans are too ignorant to understand it takes a team to win and not just 1 person. If it only took 1 person, then the Cowboys would’ve won several Super Bowls.

So why make him the highest player at his position like he can carry the team vs building a team around him or leave some money for other positions that he needs help in? i.e OLine, RB, WRs....

He has had good defenses before. The best chance they had at a divisional win was when the defense played great and were betrayed by Dak’s turnovers on 1/22/23. Defense gave up 13 points-Dak and the offense gave SF 6 points off interceptions (along with failing to score those drives). They did it in SF against a team that was absolutely loaded offensively and was averaging 30+ points per game with McCaffrey being added. McCaffrey had 10 carries for 35 yards that day. Buckets of defensive stops that whole game. Cowboys offense scored 12 whole points-but but the running game lol.

And like I’ve been saying to all the Dak haters whenever he has a bad game against playoff teams he has to take chances and force the ball which turns into int’s. Just like Mahomes last night. Their defense is still stout, but with all the injuries they had on the OL, they ended up becoming 1 dimensional and were behind in the score most of the game. But is Mahomes a crappy QB? No, he’s one of the all time greats but even an elite player like him, can’t do it all on his own.
