Dak is the only reason the Cowboys have had a chance

Yet you start out with “ He’s the only reason that they’ve even remotely contended for a deep run in the playoffs.”

Maybe it’s not intentional (maybe) but this thread is clearly set up to bait people just so to can turn around and call them names on the back end.
Wouldn't Gomer do that? Would he? I think he's just enamored by dak and thinks he's the best quarterback that has ever played. There are people out there like that, I think they are a word for it.

Homo for Romo? Dak needs something to rhyme and make it easy too.

Jeez dude.

There were more than "a couple of exceptions" to your rule here.

In 2021 the Cowboys gave up >20 points 7 times. They were 4-3 in those games.
In 2022 the Cowboys gave up > 20 points 7 times. They were 3-4 in those games.
In 2023 the Cowboys gave up > 20 points 6 times. They were 1-5 in those games.

So there is probably a bit of recency bias in the perception. That's 8-12 in games where the defense gave up at least 21 points.

Flipping that around looking at the number of games when the offense scored > 20

2021 - 10-3
2022 - 11-2
2023 - 10-1

The first thing that jumps out at me here is that the offense has exceeded the threshold in almost twice as many games as the defense. But we kinda already knew that as the offense has been top 1 or 2 in the league when Dak plays for the better part of five seasons.

Just for grins I looked at what I would consider to be outstanding performance by the two units. 30 or more points by the offense and 17 or less surrendered by the defense.

First defense:

2021 - 6 games giving up 17 or less 6-0
2022 - 7 games 7-0
2023 - 9 games 9-0

Offense

2021 - 8 games of scoring at least 30 points 7-1
2022 - 5 games 4-1
2023 - 9 games 9-0

So we're 21-0 when the defense holds the opponent to 17 or less. And 20-2 when the offense scores at least 30.

Having two losses when scoring over 30 points. I wonder how prevalent that is. I don't have the patience to go chase that down for every team.
You could ask AI, but the members of the Dak Sucks Circle Jerk Club will cry about it. Facts are such inconvenient things. And who needs the sum total of all NFL data when they’re the definitive source of all knowledge? :muttley:

Actually, I never even used ChatGPT before a couple of weeks ago, and common sense makes my argument for me.

There are opinions left and right about Dak, but the weight of FACTS proves you and the rest of the DDS crew to be the dumb ones.

You’re the guy who walks into a room full of far more intelligent people and proudly announces an ignorant opinion just so he’s noticed, even if it’s for being a fool.

The person being mocked is YOU.

Hey, question…who leads the league in passing yardage right now?

Rockport has a crush on Dak. It's Dak, Dak, Dak every post of his.
You know, I'm not going to try to defend Rock, but I can tell you this If you don't understand why that is, then I can't help you...

but 75% of the posts around here are about Prescott, like they were about Romo, mixed in with Jerry, the front office narratives ,

that's what pretty much all thats talked about around here,

so why would it not be dak dak dak, If the Dak posts are all negative, you're going to have responses from the people who support that it's a back and forth vicious circle we're in, he's not just bringing up Prescott for no reason, If you think that maybe you haven't even looked at mainstream media. Even social media everywhere it's about blaming our quarterbacks for every problem we've ever had on this team just because they make more money than anyone else and that's a fact...

I believe this post was born out of blaming Prescott like the comments from Dan Orblasky coming in and saying that Prescott just played his way out of the MVP as if the two interceptions didn't have their own stories like they hit our receivers right in the hands right in the stomach bounced over to somebody else like all the stuff on offense the fumbles the lack of blocking the lack of a run game the lack of physicality somehow Prescott was the first person talked about from Facebook fan pages here and yes ESPN they're basically saying Prescott can't play well in big games with pressure on him even though he just got through a three game stretch doing just that and actually played pretty well in this game against the Lions I mean when you put up close to 400 yards 30 points get your team within three rest of the team collapses who do they come in and blame first Yup it was Prescott..

I point this out to somebody they go yeah but he's the one who chose to throw the ball did he know I mean I mean isn't that his job I mean he looks he sees a guy open he throws him the ball and bounces off them in the hands of another player and he gets to blame because he was a qb who threw it??

Don't you think maybe Rockport started this whole thing because of all the stuff he heard right after the game everywhere it was at Prescott still can't show up and winning big games with a playoff atmosphere which by the way is completely untrue because we've been in that since the bye week... And Prescott along with CD Lamb and Aubrey were the only three that actually looked like they were trying to win that game and that played pretty well the rest of the team didn't but who got the blame first Yup it was Prescott so why would we not see someone like Rockport starting to thread like defending how all these narratives have been wrong for so long because that Lions game is a culmination of what happens in most of the big games and yet quarterback gets blamed..

So if a large majority of the posts are about Prescott the responses are going to be about Prescott whichever narrative or side you might be on there's going to be give and take therefore they're going to have somebody like Rock talk about Prescott a lot because you're talking about him a lot everybody's talking about him a lot therefore the discussions are going to be heavy on the quarterbacks..

Like I said, absent Chat GPT you can't make a coherent argument

It's either a cut and paste from AI, or an unhinged rambling rant like the post I just replied to

You are good at righteous indignation though. For what its worth:laugh:

I’ve made plenty of arguments without GPT. What’s interesting is that regardless of the argument being made…you’re simply smarter. Must be nice.

Someone makes an opinion that counters yours? Nah, you’re smarter.

Multiple people point out that there is a ton of evidence that you’re wrong? Nah, you’re smarter.

ChatGPT brings the entire history of NFL records to bear pointing out that you’re wrong? Nah, you’re still smarter than everyone and everything in the subject.

Why aren’t you on TV making millions off your exceptional genius?

It’s just so amazing. Everyone on this forum has access to the smartest person who ever lived! How fortunate we all are!

:muttley: :lmao: :muttley:

You never answered my question, genius.

Who is the NFL’s current passing yards leader?
