Dak joins Aikman and Staubach as the only QBs in Cowboys history to record 80+ wins as a starter

SteveTheCowboy........then forgive me.....Drew Bledsoe, Brad Johnson, Jon Kitna, Stephen McGee, Kyle Orton, Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassell, Kellen Moore, Andy Dalton, Garrett Gilbert, Ben DiNucci, Cooper Rush, and Trey Lance should not be shielded, slighted or have you to think I'm after Tony regarding the 30-year drought that includes the current starting QB too. No need to exclude them too, to keep peace.
Any glimpse of a take on Tony on this board that does not include a tickertape parade always seems to elevate the sensitivity meter or blood pressure .........more often than naught. I understand. BTW....I never wrote ".....but Dak".........now we all over the place from a ".......solely on Dak". Have fun with this, I am.

Oh...and if you don't want to talk about romo...then dont bring up the last 30 years of qbs...

A sane rational reasonable adult wouldnt.

An insane child...would...then fight about it.

Very nice
..my compliments on a completely deranged lunatic rant!

You...are the one that said "only dak gets blamed for 30 years of failure."

When I said Romo gets blamed too ...you lost your ever loving mind.

Enjoy.
SteveTheCowboy......???? (That's all I can come up with now).....We have gone this far. The white flag for reasoning is raised. Have fun.

Sane?....rational?.....adult?.....insane child?.......now the posts keep getting more comical. Enjoy the day, let's celebrate......the 'Boys won. Lets be happy. Seriously.......I'll keep responding to posts as you do. No problem.

Why would you respond as I do? Just respond as YOU would. Be honest and true to yourself.

And all you have to do....is admit it was you that invoked former qbs....3o years of them. You do remember it was you that did that, right?

But yes...at some point we'll have to enjoy our win (without invoking 30 years of other qbs) and cheer on the next game.

Even this one needs explaining......I respond as you do means I'm responding to posts as you do......the difference will be what is written, what is implied, what has facts.....has nothing to do with YOU, just the response to any post chosen, specifically, random, or to preference......like you. That's the only similarity.......nothing else. As they say, our opinions are like #$#$@#, we all got 'em. Keep loving the Zone.

Why do these boi-love competition threads always pop up? What’s it got to do with the team?

Tony Romo's Career Wins as a Starter

Regular Season Wins

  • Total Wins: 78

Playoff Wins

  • Total Wins: 2 out of 6
If he hadn’t got hurt he would’ve had more…

But...you still wont admit it was you that invoked the last 30 years of qbs.

"Only dak getting blamed for last 30 years of failure"

As if romo never got blamed.

Kinda weird...especially for being the tough guy you are.

But hey...if thats how you roll maybe I'm wrong about you being tough.

I can't make up for you having illusions....If this keeps going I'm soon to be accused of saying Tony Romo should be arrested. You've had your subjective take, nothing I can do about that but assume you hellbent on a disparagement of Tony Romo by me......which actually wreaks of sensitivity regarding #9. An apology ain't coming. Toughness?....no claims of keyboard kourage here. Wish you well.

You said it was only dak that gets blamed for 30 years of losing.

I said others got blamed too.

What's the problem. Facts?

Well Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles have more rings than some quarterbacks people identify as elite.

Explain that....
Obviously, they carried their teams to the promised land. Give Dilfer and Foles the respect due to them! They can hold Brad Johnson's jock.

CD missed some games.
True, and Pickens played well in them. Of course, in one of them, we had Flournoy go over 100 yards, so that helped. You are always going to perform better with better players around you. And that includes Dak. He's a better QB than what Pickens had to work with in Pittsburgh.

I agree that neither Romo nor Dak should be mentioned in the same breath as our SB winning champions, Roger and Troy.

However, Don Meredith, Tony Romo, and Dak Prescott all have 1 thing in common. None of these guys had a Tony Dorsett or Emmitt Smith along with superior offensive lines and Doomsday defenses I and II like our SB QBs had. None of them had WR tandems like Pearson, Hill, and Johnson/Richards.

I'll take Roger over all of them, including Troy because of his mobility and his penchant for comebacks and making the big play when needed, but Roger also won titles with much better overall balanced teams than Tony or Dak have ever seen.

Jerry has never been able to build a complete championship roster. The defenses have been bad for decades despite having a pass rusher or a CB or an occasional LB, and the offense has always been missing something, whether it was a weak LT/RT/C or only 1 decent WR or no backup plan at QB. This year he finally put his own Pearson/Hill combo together for the offense, but we were very lucky to hit on JWilliams or the offense would still be a crap-show; yet we have both OTs struggling at times and the worse defense I've ever seen.

I find it hard to blame or compare Romo or Prescott to the QB's who had gms/coaches who knew how to put together a complete roster; and don't give me the salary cap as an excuse. Tex Schramm and Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson would have found a way to balance the offense and defense as other teams have done the past 30 years.

He's not winning MVP, but he's tied 2nd in TDs and he's 1st in QBR. Just wondering how anyone can hate him (and a lot of people do), but that's just me.
Agreed no MVP.... UNLESS he takes us for consecutive wins against Eagles, Chieafs and Lions and we snaek into the playoffs. Then we might have a genuine discussion. Other than that, hell even WITH that, it's a longshot.

Go Cowboys!!

Nicely said

I know this will piss off the Dak fans, but seriously, any decent QB the last 30 years should be breaking any old passing records with more games, and friendlier QB pass rules and systems. It really is night and day for a 2025 QB vs a 1975 QB. Rober Staubach would TEAR UP this league if he got to play now. I can't say that for a lot of older players, but that is one I would go to my deathbed on. Someone mentioned it was crazy how more Cowboys aren't on the all-time list. Well, look at our performance since the 90's. There you go.
