Dak had the most impressive rookie season of any Cowboy in history, and I honestly don't think it's even close. To come in as the 135th player chosen in the draft, playing the most difficult position in professional sports, and have the Pro-Bowl season he did was nothing short of phenomenal.

I think Dak and Zeke were phenomenal last season and will both have great careers, but they weren't the best Cowboy rookies I've ever seen. I do agree with having Dorsett #1 on their scale. But the #2 rookie season I've ever seen came from Everson Walls. With the talent that we already had in the secondary this kid walks in and had big time QBs scared to look his way. Still haunts me to this day that his rookie season ended with the catch.
Dorsett was a Gem. Prescotts position was much tougher for a rookie to play AND be outstanding. I am not finding fault in your post...Tony is one of my favourite Cowboys.

I see it about the same as erod, Dak and Zeke kinda take away from each other's individual performance. Landry tried to change Dorset before he realized what he had on the bench. And Walls led the league in picks his rookie season. I'm not trying to take anything away from Dak or Zeke both had great rookie campaigns.

Walls was not only a Great Cowboy...he was a Great human being too! What he did for Springs goes beyond anything expected from anyone including family. Great man.

I want to add some small thing. I think that Prescott and Elliott actually enhanced each other and made each other much, much better. One without the other working together, neither, would not have been viewed as so outstanding. They needed each other equally.
