Linehan is a good coach, he's the reason(along with the d.cord) we went 12-4 in 2014.

And Dak's young, he'll actually listen to the coaches.

Well for start they can talk about how 2014 ended. How Romo got hurt in 2015 and proving everyone that he is healthy for 2016. Next is the draft and how they were thinking about selecting a qb in the first round. How they werent busy in FA, letting Hardy walk, Dez being sued, suspensions. All that was before preseason football started.

That part alone could go 20 min right there.

Well for start they can talk about how 2014 ended. How Romo got hurt in 2015 and proving everyone that he is healthy for 2016. Linehan is a good coach, he's the reason(along with the d.cord) we went 12-4 in 2014.

And being more balanced with Murray and our OL. But much credit does go to Linehan for calling a more balanced game plan and not putting it all on Romo like we had previously done.

I remember the Cowboys trotting out Troy Aikman to start in his first NFL game in Sept of 1989 - and I remember the same with Quincy Carter in 2001. I think I will go out on a limb and say Dak Prescott will have much better success in his inaugural game in two weeks.

He does have a much, MUCH better supporting cast than Troy and Quincy did in their games.

The Cowboys are going to be fine. I will admit, I am hoping greatly for Kurt Warner type success.

I hope they play Dak in the first game and see what he can do in regular game.
It is the only way to know about him.
The coaches need to let him be himself and not restrict him.
If he wins the game let him play the next one and so forth, and later when tony is "actually" ready they can decide whether to
go back to tony or stay with dak.
If they can win with dak I dont see a valid reason to go back to tony, because it is "his team"

If team goes .500 or worse with dak they should go back to tony.

My fear is Tony will want to play game 1 or very early when he isnt healed, but is "able" to play, because it is "his team".

I and many others want to see what Dak can do, and maybe it is good, maybe it isnt, but this is the perfect opportunity to find out.
If he doesnt play well and win games, they can always go back to tony.
I say lets find out how Dak does in giants and wash games.

Dak has very good supporting cast, plus he can run and scramble better than the 2 you mention.

In the past I would be so negative about Romo getting injured but Dak has shown a lot more than I expected and that has led to a weird calmness and excitement. Let's get this going.

i agree on the coaching part. i was excited before romo went down. now not so much. i can assure if things dont go well, garrett is gona run zeke to the ground. this season is gona be a long hard one
