I agree. I feel Dak has done everything he can to prove himself in the regular season. He has to win in the playoffs. I guess his contract is not the only sticking point. You’re right, it’s also the playoffs. I’ve been an obsessional Dak critic and I agree that in order to justify the contract (I absolutely hate the contract) he had to elevate the team in the playoffs. For me that would completely turn the page on my Dak criticism. So you’re right, it’s the playoffs that will do it. I don’t think the contract would be that atrocious if he took us to several NFCCG or completely balled out in the playoffs but other parts of the team failed us.

Tbh the playoffs and playoff performances is one reason why I’m not catastrophizing over losing Micah. He underperformed in the playoffs as well. So same rules apply to him. With Micah’s playoff performances I would have been upset if we gave him the same contract Green Bay did.

No doubt but unlike Parsons I don’t think a team would be willing to pay Pickens top of the market money and then give the Cowboys draft picks. $24-$26 million in one season is more than he has made in his career. Pickens doesn’t have the juice that Parsons has.

Well for one, Dak's 74 million is more than double Hurt's 2026 cap hit of 31 mil. CD's cap hit in 26 is roughly double that of AJ Brown's and Barkley was an absolute steal only counting 6 million.

So my point stands, the Eagles have a much better FO than us and assign correct values to players.

We've also managed to sink 35 million between Diggs and Bland next year and another 20 million for Osa who is a non factor. Horrible contracts.

2. Hurts is a better QB than Dak in the post season
3. No team (other than 2024 Eagles) has won s SB in the last 20+ years of FA paying 2 WRs in top 10. That team has the best GM in the NFL, we have the worst

If we sign Pickens to a 30 million contract we will have a good offense but a horrible defense and will win nothing in the playoffs

Exactly. All these dreams of this when Dak takes up 1/3 of the cap alone. Won’t happen. Also on this same topic. 15 other NFL QBs could throw to a wide open Pickens and he could be kept. It’s one read to a guy open by 3 yards. It doesn’t take 60 million a year to do that.

Oh for sure. I take the risk. I just think people may be no taking the personal into consideration in regards to his salary…I never had any doubt he be ok mentally in a contract year.
