Some great plays there, but they missed plenty of others. The bomb to Dez to beat the Steelers' blitz is one example.

#4 to Beasley, in such a small window to the front corner of the Endzone, is my favorite. Threading the needle, Percy. :)

I like that they had a couple from the MIN game, as I felt he played wonderful then, despite what a lot of the Zoners were saying at the time.

Yeah I feel like they tried to put too many runs in there just because he is a perceived "dual threat" QB. Truthfully, he is less of a runner than Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck. I think he gets the label more because of the perception of minority QBs.

That's what bugs me when you hear people compare Dak to players like Kaep or RGIII in regards to dropping off in his second season. Dak's best quality is his throwing and standing tall in the pocket. He only runs when it makes sense and it is the safest way to get a first down.

In the second half Sunday, I felt like we took the reins off him for one of the few times this year and we saw him stand in the pocket and make every throw you can ask from. One of the biggest complaints about him has been his deep ball, he has really developed that into a thing of beauty as the season wore on.

It's amazing watching film on him early in the season and realizing how much he has developed. Imagine a full offseason being the guy and taking starter reps. This kid is going to be special!

What Dak was able to do so well this year that a lot of rookies can't do was to have success against defenses that are expecting pass. We only ran once from these formations all year long, so this success has nothing to do with the threat of the run.

From 4+WR formations, rookie season
Code:
2016 Prescott 115 of 168 1363 yd 8 td 2 int 9 sk 103.8
2012 Griffin 44 of 71 316 yd 3 td 0 int 5 sk 86.4
2012 Wilson 65 of 107 724 yd 3 td 1 int 7 sk 86.3
2015 Mariota 37 of 62 406 yd 2 td 1 int 5 sk 83.1
2016 Wentz 116 of 184 1045 yd 4 td 5 int 6 sk 74.2
2015 Winston 102 of 183 1109 yd 7 td 9 int 9 sk 66.0
2012 Luck 91 of 187 1181 yd 9 td 9 int 9 sk 64.9

Can't underestimate just how awesome he was for us this season.

It's really not even fair to compare him to rookies...
