Football is Prescott's livelihood. His success is partially measured by staying cool under pressure. But your alma mater is your heart. Prescott could have skipped to the NFL after his junior year but stayed at State all four years. Some of his decision was for practical reasons to improve his draft stock. Most of the reason was his desire to win a national championship for the school that believed in him and who he loves in return.
So I chuckled at the observations made on television, radio and even online about how emotional Prescott was watching his school fight and strive to defeat one of the biggest Goliaths in U.S. sports history. How could anyone NOT be that emotional in that circumstance? How could someone who LOVES their school not be? Too funny.
Congrats to Mississippi State's team and family.
