Adult Language Dak took his offensive linemen out to dinner to thank them for a great job

dawwweeeee

i agree with Dak. besides a few games (Cardinals, Vikings, Lions).... offensive line has been really good this year. No complaints from me. All I'll say is let's get a replacement for Steele, because it looks like we're getting at least 9 of out 11 starting offensive players back. Only question is Williams who might also be back.

After 10 years of Dak futility, tha warmed me heart.
(yes, tha was a non sequitur of which I am not proud.)

Like every highly paid starting QB in the last 20 years.

You guy are insufferable.

Glad they got a good meal, but come on

He only looks at it through the lens of his stats. Dak had good stats so it was a banner year in his eyes
Yeah, that was a little weird...if you interpret the comment strictly within the context of football, instead of friends just out for a meal.

"Sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar."

As sports fans, we often tend to forget that these guys all have lives, relationships, friendships, families, obligations outside of their chosen occupation (or, more accurately, the profession that chose them).

Nobody (AFAIK) at that table suffered a career-ending injury or contracted a dread disease. Most in the top 1% of U.S. wage-earners. Playing a game they love. If I'd had a year like that, I'd say it was a good one, too.

Cool video.

Run blocking sure, pass blocking at best was middle of the league.

Arlington Jonesboys mentality - "this was a good ....ing year" - 7-9-1 no Playoffs after a 6-10 season the year before.

Dallas Cowboys mentality - "If you don't win a Super Bowl, you're not considered successful in the National Football League. I can remember, when we finally won that first one, feeling so good for the players and fans. - Tom Landry

"Win at home, win in your division and you'll make the playoffs; anything can happen in the playoffs" " We will be in the playoffs" - Jimmy Johnson

The right Dallas Cowboys mentality got you 21 double digit winning seasons from 1966-1995, 20 winning seasons in row 1966-1985, 24 Playoff appearances 1966-1996, 8 Super Bowl appearances and 5 Super Bowl Championships.

Those was good ....ing years Dak. Ask Roger, Danny, and Troy.

Not sure why it didn't approve my message last time. The offensive line was ranked 21st on pff at times the pass blocking was absolutely terrible. Everyone on the oline is overrated.

It's the least he can do since he cant win playoff games or a SB.

The Cowboys have a lot of work to do. The NFC is loaded and Jerry checked out of the race two years ago.

That was so nice, we should use our 2 1st picks on more offensive lineman to make Dak feel even better.

SO heartwarming. While fans of good teams are reading articles about playoff preparations we are dealt heartwarming stories of millionaires dinner plans. I'm sure it was smiles all around. SO heartwarming. I feel it.
Living here in New England, I can just imagine having a conversation with Patriots fans regarding the current situation of our teams.
As they reminisce over the 6 Super Bowls won over the past 25 years; and cheer their team on who's in a position to challenge for another one this year, I can boast - with pride - that our beloved QB is buying his OL dinner during wildcard weekend. So happy. Almost brings tears to my eyes.

Same here in Houston. I don’t wear any Cowboy gear because I don’t want to hear from the Texans’ fans (even though we deserve it).

It seems like they may be a close knit group, and the offense did have a good year overall. But the team certainly can't call this a successful year. No playoffs. Historically bad defense....again....seems like we have heard that several times in the last 10 years. The OL was very solid from G to G, but the Tackles were never more than average and a lot of times they were way below average. Steele better not be back. Guyton should probably be back at RT. So we are still searching for a true LT. That is the one significant change that has to happen on offense.

Defense is a trainwreck. No corners. No Safeties. No LB. And the bare minimum at DE. The entire focus has to go in that direction.

I live southeast of Houston, and here, there are lots of Cowboys fans. I will wear my Cowboys jacket to the store, and every now and then, a fellow fan will look at it and say "terrible year we're having". LOL
BUT, tomorrow I will root for Texans to beat those stinking steelers!!! (holds nose as I post this - LOL)

I can’t root for Houston, was born and raised in the Clear Lake area. I hope they go out with a whimper

My only problem with this is it teaches the team that they’ll be awarded for mediocrity. Cowboys are walking a fine line here!!
