Just read an article on Larry Brown sports that Dak has turned down endorsement deals because he says he wants to focus on winning. He reported that endorsements will take time away from work at getting better. Believes talent will only take him so far but work ethic will separate him from the rest. Gotta love this kid.

I think he is 100% right in that line of thinking!

Yeah, plenty of time for that stuff in the offseason. Even if Romo takes over when he gets back, which he most likely will, Dak is simply an NFL favorite right now and is starting to mean a lot for the Dallas area. He'll still be getting offers once the season is over, even it's just from local endorsements.

I agree with Rayne that his talent will only take him so far.

I'd be taking those endorsements. Straight cash, homie.
I would too. Lol
But this kid is really growing on me. The difference in a good player and a great player is usually the work they put in
And those money deals will be even better if he keeps up the roll he is on

That little endorsement deal money is chump change right now compared to what he can make in 3 or 4 years as the starting qb of the Cowboys. Bill Parcells would love this kid, he's definitely not trying to be a celebrity qb unlike Romo became his 1st few years as a starter.

I still think Jessica Simpson used Romo to keep her name in the spotlight a little while longer.

Romo's contract over royalties...smart kid.

Endorsements are okay as long as you do it right. Rg3 comes to mind as a rookie who sort of let himself become a super star really quick. Not really judging either way, but it certainly makes Dak seem very humble and focused on the football side of things.

Dak's the real deal. This guy has the winning attitude. I hope the Cowboys mundaneness and mediocrity doesn't rub off on him. I remember Dez being fired up about losing and now he's sort of joined the mellow club. The guy supposedly stays in the film room and it shows during game time.
