Dak vs Wentz, Continued

Oh my..... what a freaking spin. I'm dizzy.

Dude. Just stop. ONE SEASON!!?! SERIOUSLY?

You Dallas Cowboy "fans" will not leave the goalposts where they stand.

Shoe size is on the horizon........
I'm not a fan because I said that Wentz has played at a higher level then Dak has yet to reach? lol

Yikes....

Typical woe is me response......YOU were schooled. YOU responded with a spin on what YOU posted.

HACK. Nothing more......

Wentz at his best was the MVP of the league before he got hurt. Dak has not had that kind of level of play and never been considered an MVP.

You're just bringing up and comparing career stats. I said that Wentz at his best has played at a higher level then Dak. I never said Wentz has the better career.

Dak has NEVER been better then 2017 Wentz.

No I am not.. I took their 5 best games.. Dak's #5 game was significantly better than Wentz's #1 game. I took their best stretches of winning .. Dak was better.. For your statement to be true then Wentz's best games would be better than Dak's best games.. They are not.. not even close. They're not really even on par .. I'm sorry it bothers you that your statement is easily proven to be false, but that's exactly what it is.. False. I asked you to show me a measure that says different.. You have not and you will not because there isn't one. Dak had 14 game winning drives in his first three seasons.. the most in NFL history for a QB in his first three seasons. So in his first three seasons he was the best closer in league history to start a career.. Not the best of his era.. not the best in the last 20 years.. The best since they started keeping the statistic in 1960. He also set a record for most passing yards in a four game stretch this past season as well as becoming the first player ever to top 450 passing yards in three straight games.. Maybe you can give us a rundown of all the things that Wentz has done that rank at the top of any NFL lists? Since according to you he has played at a higher level at his peak than Dak has ever reached. Maybe fastest 100 million dollar QB to get dumped by his team?

NFL $11B per year in TV contracts. Still think the salary will not increase after 2021?
If people aren’t watching, advertisers will diminish. How does that equate to increased revenues and salaries?

I understand that you want to make Dak look good and Wentz look bad. You're a Cowboys fan, so I get it.

There is no disputing that in 2017 Wentz was the MVP of the league before the injury happened. Dak has yet to be considered an MVP QB.

I'm curious, why is it so hard to give Wentz credit for that year without someone trying to make it about "Well, but Dak is like, SOOOO much better!"

Why be that way? Dak has yet to reach the level Wentz played at in 2017 while Wentz has yet to be as consistent year in and year out as Dak. Nothing more, nothing less, and it's okay. I'd rather have the consistency of Dak year in and year out then the one year wonder of Wentz, but that still doesn't change the fact that Wentz has played at a higher level then Dak, even if it was only for 1 season.

Again I asked you to present any objective measure to show Wentz has played better than Dak ... Not your opinion.. not "he was better one year, one month, one game.. cause I say so " or whatever. Dak's a better player and has proven it time and again. He owns Wentz head to head despite playing with a lesser coach and a lesser defense almost every year. I don't know how people can keep claiming Wentz was MVP of the league when his damn team won a championship without him. Exactly how valuable can he be if his backup can win a championship with the same team? During his career best 9 game win streak Wentz passed for under 200 yards 3 times and under 250 4 other times and committed 6 turnovers. MVP my arse. If Dak won games throwing for minimal yardage like that people like you would be falling all over themselves to credit Zeke, the defense, the punter, the trainer, anybody you could for winning those games EXCEPT Dak.. (and did) but you cling to an MVP case for this guy? GTFOH. FYI During Dak's 11 game streak he failed to hit 200 yards only twice and committed 4 turnovers.. FOUR!!!!!!! So 4 turnovers in 11 games as opposed to 6 turnovers in 9 games? Which would you say was better? I say again, Wentz at his best has never been close to Dak at his best. No matter what your "eye test" told you.

Because the contract is signed .. the money is committed. If only 10 people watch the games the NFL will make the same amount of money. The ratings impact the NEXT contract.. not this one. I have to believe you already knew this?

You're just way to in your feels about Dak it seems and it clouds any sort of objective discussion when it comes to him.

So, we're not going to be able to come to any type of middle ground here (Because I don't believe Dak is the GOAT). So we can just agree to disagree on this matter and move on.

Agreed.

I take Dak all day, everyday over Wentz, but folks that try to dismiss how Wentz played in 2017 and his contribution to that teams Super Bowl are silly.

The hypocrisy test is simply to think about what if the same thing happened to Dak. Do you think the same folks on here would be okay with discrediting Dak?

Objective? Seriously.. What's more objective than the numbers?.. wins, completion percentages, yards per attempt, turnovers. The numbers ALL say Dak is better and has always BEEN better. Wentz rode a top 4 defense to a great record one year.. and he was so integral to his team's success that they went out and won a championship without him. YOU are the one not being objective.. You have made up your mind that Wentz was something he was not in 2017 and nothing is going to dissuade you from that belief. Fine if that's what you wanna do.. I just asked you back up your claim with even a smidgen of evidence. And of course you didn't because you can't. No one has ever claimed Dak is the GOAT.. But most of us (rightfully) believe he is light years better than Wentz and the numbers bear that out. You go ahead and cling to that imaginary MVP trophy Wentz won. He was better than Dak in 2017.. that was Dak's worst season.. Dak has been better every other year.. And Dak's best games have been better than Wentz's best games thus the claim that "Wentz at his best has been better than anything Dak has done" is patently false and has been proven as much. You can dislike it, dismiss it , whatever you want.. but you can't change it. Ever..

Some people are just in their feels so deep that they can't think of the Cowboys in a realistic way anymore. It's all a fantasy land where every player with a star on their helmet is a GOAT and nobody could possible be better, or in this case, better for even 1 season. How they can have that mindset while also knowing we have 3 Wild Card wins in the last quarter of a century is beyond me.
