I knew that there would be a "It's just Washington" type of comment coming from somewhere, after the media has been hyping up their winning streak and after some Cowboys fans on this forum were scared of them.

Is it really a "It's just Washington" comment, or is it more like "the way both teams played today neither deserves to be in the playoffs" comment? Both teams still could improve and become a worthy playoff team. I don't care about washington and I want my Cowboys to turn it around, but the point is today was very worrisome and bringing back flashbacks of years where the cowboys started off looking up and then had a face palm worth ending of the season.

His “mental toughness” is questionable, considering it all starts to go downhill when he faces a little pressure as far as OL blocking is concerned.

Funny thing at the beginning of the season was, I was in shock at how he stood in there when there was pressure. He was also pretty accurate.
He almost made me give in to him.

But, this dude must have mental issues or something. Where he needs to seek help. Obviously his mind is somewhere else lol.
He is like split personality disorder at the position.

And even when he plays horrid there are posters here praising him and believing he is better than Aikman was. And they they go on making such claims that you are not a cowboys fan if you put down Dak while at the same time putting down one of our team's two legendary quarterbacks.
I’m not one of them
He hasn’t played great since calf and played bad today
They have to figure out if it’s the calf or mental but I’m thinking it’s mental
Trying to force things and making bad decisions
A bad throw here and there isn’t a huge issue. A bad decision is a huge issue because that leads to turn overs.

Tampa Bay may have been his best game ever in this regard. But TB plays lots of man. San Diego played almost exclusively zone and Dak’s weaknesses really get exposed in this regard, especially now that the RG isn’t playing at an elite level. Checking into the run isn’t going to guarantee you the yardage like it used too. So Dak now has to process the field and try and find holes in the zone. And he’s really risk averse in this regard and just goes to his check-down.

You keep such detailed track of everyone?

No, I just never seen an him being able to say that Dak has had a bad game. There plenty of examples of me saying that Dak has had a good game. I've criticized Romo for having bad games and throwing interceptions. I like people who can be a fan of a player but if they play bad be objective and say they played like crap. I hate excuse making, and throwing other people under the bus to prop your guy up.

Dak has had 3 bad games over this stretch and the entire season. At first it was poor protection and lack of running game. Protection was pretty good today, while the run game still wasn't too effective. There even wasn't a lot to complain about with the officiating on our side either.

Dak's recent inconsistency is now a bit concerning, but the lack of run game and the up and down play calling has been a big factor for the decline too. We haven't found the right balance of plays to get this offense comfortable. Whatever worked the first half of the year isn't working.

The teams they will play in the postseason are much better than the WFT.

If you think they can make a SB run in January with Dak playing like he did today, you are in la la land.

LOL...........so you lost the first argument, and now you change it to making the SB?

Typical.

Who says Dak will play like today? Will the run game suck too? Going to be hard to win the SB with your entire offense sucking.

We need more genius stuff like this on this site. Keep it coming. :muttley:

Point is Dak has played like crap the last 6 weeks and that doesn't bode well heading towards the playoffs.

That is true... he did well with man coverage. But that zone coverage must make him feel like he is reading a book on Quantum Theory lol.

Actually it is Zeke and the run game that has played like crap for 7 weeks.

The passing game has been inconsistent.

Stats are for losers. Wins is all that matters.

Ever since his calf injury, he hasn't looked the same. $40 million dollar QBs don't look like this.

Dak is looking worse week to week. He's the only reason why we almost lost this game.

You're thoughts?
I don’t think it has anything to do with his health physically, I think he is dealing with some off the field personal stuff. Someone mentioned earlier about his grandmother’s death coinciding with injury and I could see it. He just doesn’t seem like his self. Body language and his personality seems to be off.

I hope he does get his **** together. I'm a romo fan and we've seen him start off good like Dak has done this season only to have things fall apart in the end. The problem here is not the talent, both Romo and Dak are good quarterbacks in my opinion. But obviously if he keeps playing the way he has the last few games this will be just another one of those disappointing seasons we here in Dallas have gotten used to.
