Even when Witten was in the broadcast booth, he stated that Dak was basically a one-read QB and he wasn’t bashing him in that context. This is not something new.

Man you guys overreact. Daks been mediocre for several games and all of a sudden he's trash. The same posters who went silent over the 5 game win streak are now more active than ever.

Look, he's not been good since his injury. That's a fact. But he's not a bum and is still an elite QB. He's just now showing it right now.

Dak is not a bum, he just may not be as elite as some of us want to believe.

According to Kurt Warner dissecting film... Dak reads too quickly. Who to believe? hmm...
Read too quickly, then read too slowly, made the incorrect reads, and of course threw off his back foot… per the Kurt Warner video

Dak was playing loose and more natural at the beginning of the year. There was a good energy about him and he was really connecting with his receivers. I'm not sure what happened, but he definitely looks like he is more uptight and overthinking his approach. Even his body language on the sideline shots doesn't seem to radiant any of that good energy.

Something happened....................just what? His hammy still? I don't know.

No...he's a big mutha...better he gone to get you.

Not this time...

Here is a video of Kurt Warner continuously saying Dak needs to allow the plays to develop before going to the next read. That doesn't sound like he reads slow to me. Does it to you?

If you watch the second half of the video; Dak also made slow reads and incorrect reads

A lot of these errors arent physical problems. This is just an excuse for dumb football.
Well, last year, 2018 and earlier this year before calf injury the footwork was fine. Which is why I think it's injury.

Regardless, the play is bad. The footwork is awful and inconsistent. It's impacting the offensive consistency.

It’s NOT a false narrative. I Nobody is saying he doesn’t have the progressions memorized as far as the play-call is concerned…. t’s more accurate to say Warner was saying, in that particular instant, Dak was RUSHING through his reads, in that case going to the easiest play.

His ability to process or read the field is slow, hesitant, conservative and just plain awful at times. When he starts feeling non-existent pressure, it just goes downhill quickly.
He proved this narrative false earlier this season, so he actually has the ability. I'm not sure what's going on now.

Its insane that the highest paid player on our team was the absolute worst player on the entire field today

We need a QB

Been saying this for years. He's a good QB. But, he's not good enough to advance an NFL team deep into the playoffs. There is something lacking and he's about as good as he's ever going to be. Bascially, he's a bus driver QB who suffers from overconfidence. That pick 6 was a perfect example of a guy trying to put stats on the board to the detriment of the team.

Not really…. His numbers were high against man coverage. He played awful against the Chargers, who play almost exclusively cover 2.

The difference is, with the RG not having as much an impact as it did earlier in the season to force defenses out of zone, teams can play more of it.

And Dak doesn’t challenge zones.

Yeah he is pretty clearly not only overthinking things in his head but I don't think his body is 100% ok right now either. Dak generates most of his throw power from his core and legs since he does not have a massive arm. It has impacted him much more than it would a QB like Rodgers or Mahomes who both have huge arms.
Most of his throws are with his weight on his front foot through out the throw and not putting any weight on his back foot and pivoting forward, turning the hips and shoulders. So release point is inconsistent and he is trying to compensate with his arm which only makes it worse.

He's no longer injured. He and everyone else say he is fine physically.

Now if you are arguing the injury threw his mechanics and timing off and he has yet to get it back....maybe so.

This is the worst I've seen Dak look. Something has to be wrong that we don't know about. And no, he's not a 1 read QB, c'mon guys. Not that it can't happen if he hears footsteps. But normally he isn't.

He physically looks stiff and awkward . Mentally he’s lost confidence .
Moore also is terrible . There was a 3 and out series where I correctly called every play , run up middle , quick sideline pass , pass to back . If a random guy on his couch can guess what is the opposing defense doing ?

True but the OL has been straight garbage as well. I also can’t stand Moore. Dak is struggling. He needs to get him some slants and other easy throws. Too much sandlot crap.

No.. No they haven’t.

The OL is fine and Dak’s struggles are nobody else’s fault but his own.

He is the problem. It’s nobody else. It’s him. He can’t read a defense right now.

The O line is far from fine, seriously.

This article was before the Patriots game.

This is another quote which points out what I was stating previously why his numbers were so high against the blitz.

DAK PRESCOTT RANKED SIXTH IN 2019 AGAINST MAN COVERAGE WITH A 107.0 PASSER RATING ALONG WITH 16 TDS AND FOUR INTERCEPTIONS. THIS, LIKE HIS WHOLE GAME, HAS NOTICEABLY IMPROVED THIS SEASON. PLUS, PRESCOTT HAS BEEN BLITZED ON NEARLY 70 PERCENT OF HIS DROPBACKS AGAINST MAN COVERAGE, MEANING HE’S STANDING TALL IN THE POCKET DESPITE LAST YEAR’S ANKLE INJURY.

Defenses were trying to blitz him against man, and were getting completely stifled by the blocking. Teams that didn’t blitz heavily stifled our offense. But that could also be an indicator of the fact teams weren’t trying to make something happen to keep pace with our offense when it was scoring in bunches. But with the Commanders game, they were down and didn’t blitz much.
