    That’s not what I’m saying.

Is the QB the only position you need to see team success to validate a players value?

    Think about what you’re saying?

How do they evaluate in practice or in the draft if players are on a bad team? Evaluation of talent isnt directly related to the teams success. How absurd and why I’m Lol.

Try not to use the words “never” or “always”. Just a bit of advice.

it's not their money, ergo their opinions aren't as valuable as they think. they're just opinions.

What's absurd is you suggesting that they can evaluate him in practice without regard to whether he can win games or not. You're arguing just to defend a dumb statement, but you know better! You're just arguing for the sake of arguing. If the man can't win games, who cares if he looks good in practice??? Teams don't make their money in practice, they make money winning games. Period.

You talk about signing cheap. I don't mind paying for the Ferrari but when I do I expect it to drive like a Ferrari not a Dodge Pickup. Dak has a chance to show he is a Ferrari instead of a Dodge

    All speculation.
But if Covid doesn't wipe out much of the season, he (and the team) has a very good season, he stays healthy, then you'd think his price will go up some.
He got about 31mil less than he could in 2019 (33-2) and maybe 3.5 less in 2020 (35-31.5)...so he will have some ground to make up.
I'm not sure how you measure the value a MM getting a full year to see Dak in his offense before being married to him for 4 years is.

Yup... love Dak or hate him this is the most basic of all facts.
Dallas costs to extend him only goes up and Dak's price isn't coming down.
He's had 4 years of solid QB play with an ascendant season last year that saw him dramatically improve pocket awareness and footwork.
Even if he has a very down COVID season it isn't going to derail his asking price thought it may deter Dallas from meeting it.
Free agency has always been undefeated and true QB1 almost never make free agency, much less proven QB1s at his age.
Sign Dak at no cost in draft capital??
5-7 teams would be in on him immediately at prices above Russell Wilson.

COVID isn't wiping out a season.
It hasn't for Soccer or the NBA or NHL.

The NFL isn't really at risk as a total wipe. But no fans? Likely for at least part of the season. Reduced season? Possibly for sure.
But the NFL isn't giving up the TV money they make on the playoffs/Super Bowl.

NCAA football very much is at risk because as State Institutions they are beholden to state mandates.

The Cowboys are saying 1 thing with that tag............."Show me". If he can do that, they'll pay him.

True and it will get you to where you want to go, just not as quickly. lol
I would love nothing more than for Dak to have an great season and lead this team deep into post season and or a championship, and while it would cost Jerry more I can promise he would be signing that check with a big smile. If Dak does not take the next step as a QB then the old saying of sometimes the best deals are the ones that didn't happen

You totally didn’t grasp my practice analogy.

How do you evaluate talent in the draft or training camp without live games?
