@Cowboys5217
Many Franchise QB’s ( not elite) are paid Market Price and over valued which is unfortunately part of the Cap default.
Prescott like many other Franchise QB’s ( not elite) is considered by most enough to resign and attempt to build around.
There’s really two types of teams in the NFL. Ones trying to build around a Franchise QB and those looking for one. Look how teams like Buffalo and Baltimore have even struggled getting to a SB with notably greater QB’s. There are other examples. Not everyone can have a Mahomes.
While we wish we could have landed a better Franchise QB we certainly could argue building a better team consistently around ours while hiring greater coaching staffs, front offices, etc could have gone along way.
We can’t ever forget there’s been one constant throughout this era regardless who we’ve had at QB that’s undermined our coaching staff and prevented attracting greater coaches while bundling drafts and contract negotiations, trades, etc.
I’m not sure how any criticism of the Cowboys can’t begin and end with Jethro Jone$ who I’d argue has been the greatest obstacle for Cowboys Football to overcome . And will continue to be so.
