Well they can't be mad at wins, but they are. Airman wasn't a 300 yard a game passer every weekbut he seems to do just fine, oh yeah he had Emmitt. That's why Dakota has Zeke so he doesn't have to be a 300 yard passer either, the formula works just some people have agendas to not like anything this team does. Even though they're fans.
I know my problem, and i imagine the problem some other have, is that i see insanely over the top homerism and try to temper my thoughts. Maybe i move a little too far, but if in my effort to live in reality, i overcorrect to the side of pessimism, thats way preferable to thinking the cowboys are the 63 greatest nfl players.

I agree, except that it's hard to be top-notch against one of the best defensive lines in football. Those other guys are damn good.
It's even harder when you don't have a QB that can complete in a big boy world. It's about to get real for Dak.. what he has done so far has been great no argument there and the future looks bight,, but I have a feeling we will soon see why no rookie has ever won the SB.

He ari
His body of work - really...... Number 5th all time in passer rating, 1st in 4th quarter comebacks. Top 10 all time in td to int ratio.

His body of work is Elite
He stilll can't throw into tighr windows, and I'm a Romo fan so save it I've defended him continuously over the years here and to friends but that is the one thing I've not seen him do as well as the over elitet QBs. More often than not we're trying to not break something when he tries from the result. Just my opinion not looking for agreement. As far as Dakota he is a rookie being judged like a 10 year vet.

Not sure if I would call it homerism. Dak has more to learn there is no doubt but he has also done what no other Dallas QB has ever done in leading this team to 11 game win streak. Now some want to ditch him and put in Tony? Why on earth would I want to take out the starting QB who has achieved this? I like Romo as much as anyone and I wish things turned out different but Dak has done what Tony could not do. All these other numbers or 300 yards or tight windows is laughable the object is not about personal numbers or showing how much risk you can take it is about leading and winning. Dak and this offense are producing an avg of 27.8 a game which is 5th in the NFL. Reality is Dallas is sitting at 11-1 that is no spin or what if, it is what it is.

One thing I will not do is slam Romo but on the other hand I do not get this need to replace a QB who has earned what he has and the respect of his teammates.

Not a blown play. Dak audibled based on the look. He exploited them.

He audibled to the Vikings DB to overcommit on the first move and let Dez run by him?

Did he also audible from the sidelines for Anthony Brown to do the same thing with DeSean Jackson of the Commanders? Maybe its a superpower that he has trouble controlling, like in the comic books.

about to get? lol at no point in the 11 game win streak was it not real? I will not sit here and predict a SB title this season with Dak but then again I could not predict that with Romo in the lineup either.

Playoff football is much different than Regular Season. Dak has struggled at times, esp last week. Whether that was mental fatigue or whatever, he still struggled. I am not knocking Dak, he has done amazing.. but there is a reason that no rookie has ever won a SB.. it's just a different animal. So yea, its about to get real. If he is struggling now, it will only be worse in the playoffs. I just hope the last couple of weeks were just due to the timing of the games and he can bounce back.

and how has this team faired in the past? I will take my chances with Dak. He has done what NO other Dallas QB has ever done and did so without a top defense. Could he struggle? sure so could Romo it has happened before so lets not act as if we put Romo in and we are a sure thing. Dak has went out and earned this and now to say well the game is different? BS.

Outside of Minn game he has helped this team to over 27 points a game, he has played at tough places like Pitts who do not lose often at home. What Dak has done is not somne fluke. 1 game I'm sorry is not a struggle and as I mentioned even in 2014 Romo had games of less than 200 yards. It is not about how many yards you throw for, it is about putting the ball in the endzone.

I just think this is about as crappy as it gets, only in Dallas would people contemplate taking out a QB who has lead his team to an 11-1 mark and put in a QB who has never been able to do it. Hell it is not like Tony has put Dallas in the SB in the past

I'm sorry but can you please point to anywhere in my post that I mentioned Romo, or removing Dak? All I said was it's about to get real and that no Rookie has ever won a SB and I expect Dak to struggle in the playoffs. What's sad is that you can't have a discussion about one QB without someone hating on the other QB. Do I believe that Tony is the better QB yes I do, Do I think they made a mistake by keeping him on the bench, absolutely. But that ship has sailed, its Dak's show now and I hope for the best but realistically, I don't expect him to do much in the playoffs. I hope our running game and D can hold up and get us 3 wins when it matters.

Believe as you choose however it is real what he has done outside of the opening weekend and Minn game Dallas has not score less than 24 points a game. A rookie QB is not supposed to do that either. Rookie QB are not supposed to lead their team to 11 game win streaks. Hell no other Rookie has done that.

As for where did you mention Romo well in this post where it was a mistake? based on what? I love Romo but come on when has he lead this team to an 11 game win streak? what has this team done in post season? To take one game and act as if he is faltering now? lol come on as soon has he has a lack luster game vs Minn it is all over he can't do it?

Whatever

Yeah i was speaking in general terms...i do not want to be lumped in with the people predicting(seemingly praying for) losses.

So much Pessimism over an 11 game winning streak. Maybe we won't win it all this year but the future looks bright. And yes the post season is different than the regular season. That's where QBs are judged. Dak is a rookie. What he has done this year is remarkable no matter what happens.

He threw for 139 yards against Minnesota. Passer rating is extremely flawed

Maybe so but then Dallas only had the ball for 49 plays and Dak only threw 18 passes completing 12 of them in the game including a TD pass.

So.........does Linehan and Garrett have tweaks and adaptations to offense being worked on and perfected in the 4 weeks leading up to playoffs? Stack plays, motion, rub routes etc that will help Dak and the receivers out?.....................The little gadget plays like Minn caught S.Lee with at the goal line, where he was forced to line up with a WR on the little flip-out route.
