Dak's pretty good

I can’t name one good quarterback that can’t beat a good team.

This dude is a very, very good QB. If he's not elite, he knocking on the door. I don't agree with his haters, I mean, critics. I give you guys a little grief just to havebe some fun, but if you still think he's the problem, you've lost all credibility with me.

I hated Garrett because he sucked, I don't get why you think Dak sucks. Tell me why, and leave the money out of it, there are MANY overpaid players in pro sports.
Those of you Dak lovers, feel free to tell us why.

When was our last big win? At Seattle a coupe years ago? Beating the saints in new Orleans when they were 13-0

Nice avitar...

He’s a upper tier quarterback any competent coach could win a Super Bowl with.

not elite but well above average
I agree with this. Dak is an above average franchise QB. He's in the upper part of the 2nd tier of QBs. He's a step down from Mahomes, Wilson. He's the best QB among the likes of Wentz, Goff.

I don't think he'll have the talent to ever be considered "elite" but any capable GM or coaching staff can win a super bowl with him. If he doesn't win a Super Bowl then that means his supporting cast and FO failed him.

One thing I am tired of on this board is the black and white thinking with Dak. If someone says he makes a mistake in a game that hurt our team the "pro Dak" people get all butt hurt and sensitive. If you say that Dak is flawless then the haters come out. It's ridiculous.

Dak is what he is: a very good QB that can win super bowls but he is not flawless. We got to stop the black and white thinking with him.

Also, teams have such big leads that they go into prevent defenses and also has more people in coverage. Which leads to more interceptions right? If a team is expecting a play to be a pass every time, would it be logical for there to be more turnovers? Considering the fact that we have had to come back nearly every game, I'm actually content with the amount of LOW interceptions we truly have. Because according to your prevent defenses logic, how come across the league there aren't 450+ yard passers in every team that loses in a blowout? I asked several things here.
Are you serious, do you watch football? Teams that play prevent D give receivers and TEs a 10 to 15 yard cushion before the snap. That's why Dak is racking up yards. So what happen in the Atlanta game? Offense didn't kick in until the 2nd half. What happen in the Seattle game? No first half scoring. What happen yesterday? Score 2 quickies, then went into a tailspin which resulted in a 40 - 14 half score! The Cowboys were driving for a late score until Cooper shut it down on his route when he saw Dak throwing into double coverage. Cooper didn't want to be put out dry on Dak's throw. What happen in the Rams game? What happen to Dak? Offense scored a whopping "3" points in the second half. Yeah they really lit it up that night!

We had a top 12 defense last year. Dak had plenty of talent on offense. He couldn’t win a division that was bad. Couldn’t beat a winning team. Couldn’t beat a depleted philly team late in the year.

I’m sick of beating up on inferior teams... putting up big numbers and losing. Yet we make every excuse in the world for the qb.

Elite “top 5” qbs can win despite what’s bad around them. Andrew luck played in 15 playoff games despite having a bad gm and bad talent around him.

The qb should get the blame when we lose. As they should get the credit on wins. Our division is putrid. We have no business losing it a second year in a row

He virtually threw 8 interceptions today if the Browns would have just caught them.

Ton of yardage down, 41-14, too.

Obviously, today wasn't on him, but his fantasy football stats don't mean much.

He didn't mention his "fantasy football stats", he just recognizes good football play.

For those keeping track of posts between Dak critics and the non, Andrew Luck actually only played 8, not 15 playoff games like this poster has claimed, throwing 12 TDs and 13 INTs in those games.

Please be on the side that prefers to not make stuff up.

that was def my error. Just trying to illustrate that not having a perfect situation shouldn’t mean no playoffs. Case in point.

2016 - 14th
2017 - 8th
2018 - 7th
2019 - 9th
2020 - 30th

Those are the defensive rankings for daks teams since coming into the league. The argument had been made around here “if we had a better defense”.

last year our defense was top 10. Dak couldn’t get us past 8-8. In a bad division.
So I ask. With what has pretty much been an offense loaded with all pro players from 2018 on? Why has dak not won anything? Why do we constantly blame everyone else but dak.

I don’t hate him... but I think giving him 40 mil would set this franchise back a long time.

If your definition of defensive ranking is points allowed, and not something more advanced like DVOA we need to have a talk.

Hell even points per drive allowed is 10x better than total points alllowed.

Why aren’t QBs like Darnold racking up all these prevent defense yards then?

Dak had a perfect passer rating in the first and second quarter of the browns game.

Ok I want to try something. I've stated my position on Dak several times. But for anyone who didn't see it, I feel Dak is an above average franchise QB. IMHO he's the best 2nd tier QB. He's not Mahomes or Wilson. But he's definitely, without hesitation, top 10 QB. Maybe top 5. That's my belief about him. He's not perfect tho and his mistakes have contributed to us losing. If I had my way I would want Dak as our QB for life with the right price. I feel Dak demanding top dollar he is bringing a lot of scrutiny to his game because if he wants Mahomes money he has to produce like Mahomes, meaning wins, playoff wins and SBs.

Now that's how I feel. I have a question tho. For all those who want Dak ran out of town, who do you want to replace him with? Trubisky, Cousins. What QB will be available when Dak is a true FA that you want? Cuz here's where I'm at. As much as Dak's mistakes cost us wins, he also plays at a high level. So if he leaves I can't think of anyone to replace him and we are better for it. Like who would be available? Rogers, Brees, Brady? Do we get a one year rental on an older QB that's past his prime. What about Foles, Trubisky, Cousins, Bridgewater? Not sure of their contracts but that's the quality of QBs that become available.

What do you guys want? If not Dak, then who?

LOL you do realize that we were up 14-7 after the 1st quarter. Dak did not throw a single pass between the score being 14-7 and then 14-28. You realize that right? Also, how come every QB that is losing in a blowout not have 450 yards a game?

maybe other teams don't have our talent on offense, so when the defense goes into prevent it's easy to give up a lot of yards.

the opposing team still knows a pass is coming. They can play with that knowledge.
