I am listening to the Big 3 Radio Stations and quite a bit of local fans are claiming that this may not be a big win because they believe the Philadelphia Eagles didn't play hard, so they could be ready for Saturday.

When all you have is the big play and you can't execute it then its going to make you look like you didn't play hard.

People honestly believe that the Eagles laid down, giving up a shot at a first round bye, just so they could turn around and comeback to Dallas and play hard?

Oh come on.

The eagles couldve had a 1st round bye if they won yesterday. Don't tell me they weren't playing hard. Saying that I'm expecting saturday's game to be like our first meeting, close.

Your posts are very good. Very succinct.

What they say, pro or con, will be irrelevant come Saturday night.

Win and no one can claim anything but that this winless "jinx" that Romo, Wade, and the team as a whole have is over. No more fumbled snap on a FG, no more Wade 0-4, and no more 13 years without a playoff win.

Lose, and every negative thing that people are saying will be validated. Yesterday was only a big win if you follow it up with another. Everything gained yesterday (and the last 3 weeks) will be down the toilet if Philly comes in and handles the Cowboys.

We've argued - I believe, with merit - about the importance not only of winning, but how the Cowboys have won (or lost). But come Saturday night, it's just win, Baby. Just win.

I don't think anyone can claim they didn't play hard (with the exception of Desean Jackson, who was either bothered by the leg or truly wasn't playing hard). They just didn't play very well.

Only people who are looking for a reason to explain away Dallas' win yesterday would claim that. Philly had way too much to gain to not do everything they could to try to win.

Having said that, we didn't get their A game. Part of that was Dallas' D, and part of it was their own lack of execution. McNabb missing wide open receivers and several dropped passes, most notably.

Exactly.

Everyone with any sense knows Philly had more at stake, and to claim they didnt play hard is ridiculous, but this is true. Nobody's gonna remember what happened yesterday if we dont finish them off when the season's on the line. Philly has the opportunity to rebound from what happened yesterday. We wont have any opportunity to rebound from a loss on Saturday.

They could have been the 2 seed, and with the way NO is playing very likely hosted the NFC Championship game again. Dallas made it look like they didn't want to play. Period.

Yet Philly is the one who had the 2nd seed bye on the line and homefield but had nothing to play for? :lmao2:

Goodness sake Dallas critics are becoming a big joke, people feel the need to complain or belittle this team at every turn. And people can't understand why some of us question what kind of fan these people are?

Last night, probably an hour or so after the game ended, I turned on the Ticket postgame and the first three callers were all complaining about one thing or another. This after we stomped maybe our biggest rival when everyone said we were losers this time of year and had the first back-to-back shutouts in team history.

Truly unbelievable.

Oh, and on your last point, I actually turned on ESPN radio this morning to hear if Cowherd would eat some crow, but major league Cowboys hater Doug Gottlieb was on. He claimed the Eagles quit trying and shut it down after they got down 14-0 and lumped them in with the Colts and Saints as teams who weren't even trying to win yesterday.

Again, truly unbelievable.

Interesting, I am listening to Gotlieb now and he is praising Jerry Jones.

Says the New York area will will have 3 new stadiums and none of them are getting the events Jerry Jones got for the his new Stadium.

Forget the division title and 1st round bye. Do you realize by losing, they gave up a home playoff game? Do you realize how much money a team makes with a home playoff game? Do you think any owner would accept laying down on purpose with all that on the line. Get real! They may have backed off after Felix's TD but up until then, they had been dominated. Dallas backed off a little at that point too.

Dallas just physically beat up the Eagirls...
For the win...

I do think they dialed it back a bit in the second half though. There was no reason for them to be overly aggressive or show much when they were down 24-0

Cowherd worked the last 2 weeks thru the holidays when most of their other regulars are off, so I guess he's off now.
