If a player with any ability is cut while the roster limit is 90, it is sometimes because he broke some team rule. Most coaches have a very low tolerance for bottom of the roster players during training camp. It could be as simple as being late to a meeting or getting into a fight. The Cowboys cut a guy last year for being late to a meeting for the 2nd time despite the fact that he had a really good training camp.

Does it matter? He has been doing very good as of late and to me that is what matters, that and continuing to perform at a high level.

Yeah but we know they have to cut their roster to 53 also, and some will have excess RB"s !!! It is a matter of finding needs and the right fit. Besides I like the idea of having too many good players.
