Dallas can not start slow against GB at home, the way they started against Detriot, SF, Houston, and several other teams.

Garrett and Linehan need to change things up. I feel the best way to approach the GB game would be to receive the kickoff and run a quick paced, slants and screens offense similar to what Philadelphia attempts to do. Get the ball out of Romo's hands immediately and make GB's defense chase Beasley and Dunbar from sideline to sideline. Mix in draws and stretches and control the TOP.

I'm sure the Dallas coaching staff knows this but GB loves to blitz Matthews leaving the middle open to slant work and the patended Witten skinny posts, etc. Make Matthews cover, then run it at them.

This is just what I would like to see and is clearly subjective. I do think whats not subjective is that Dallas must change their approach to start games. Everybody and their mothers know about our Run, Run, Pass, and a healthy dose of blitzing is a good way to stop it.

I love how Green Bay uses the slant route. There is no way to pressure Rodgers on those plays because the ball is out of his hands instantly. I wish the Cowboys would use more of those quick hitting type routes/throws when they are getting blitzed.

The Cowboys should be able to run on the Packers.

Green Bay cannot start slow against us either or they will fall under the weight of an increasingly more painful running game. The stakes are highest for both teams and this matchup is as good as any team can have at this late stage in the season.
A strong Dallas time of possession will cause the streaky GB offense to work against itself in the elements and high stakes of this game. Easier said then done but our opponent is no more daunting than Green Bay's.

Well, we've started fast before only to give up the lead and then take it back again so I think as long as they keep the game with in reach they're ok.

Eh, I disagree in that I think this team can play either with a lead or from behind. The defense can be extremely stingy when an offense gets conservative. And Romo can put up multiple scores in a hurry. The team just keeps fighting as has been proven time and again.

This game has to be treated like the game at Philly a few weeks ago. Do whatever you can to make it to the 3rd quarter with a lead or within one score. Allow your rushing attack to be a factor late in the game. A couple stops defensively or turnover(s), and you get out of GB with a victory.

Notice that those teams you mentioned were ALL home games. Dallas just seems to start very slow at home, but more aggressive on the road. So hope that trend continues, or it better continue because I do believe they need to get the crowd out of the game and get GB playing catchup. Getting Rodgers to move around alot will hurt GB due to his bad foot/ankle.

Our slow start yesterday was an abberation. In our previous 3 games we scored on our first 3, 4 and 5 possessions respectively. Detroit is the toughest D we can face in the tournament hands down including Seattle. Romo was quoted after the game stating that Detroit was the most difficult defense we've faced all year by far.

They need to account for Matthews' blitzes. They send him after the QB like he's a lineman.

Good thing it'll be cold as all hell.. that will force gb to run instead of pass. I'll live with that all day. Take away the short passes which is probably going to be their focus.

Dallas needs to come out focused. Romo really needs to not hold onto the ball so long. Yesterday, man was he afraid of giving up the INT. Which, of course is great. But, plays were left on the field.

As long as they don't come out flat, they should be in the game.

I do hope they come out hungry and angry.. Whatever Dallas did at halftime of the game yesterday, and play so different. If that was a speech, or prep or whatever. Use that.

They just came off four straight games of scoring 40 points a game. They were due for a blip on the road to the top. Next week is a completely different team at a completely different site and a completely different day. Green Bay does not have the #1 run defense. That much I know.
