Very true. Wade already has said, multiple times, that he will be calling the shots on defense.

I rather like this staff, nice upside and diversity to it as far as experience and age goes, it will hopefully put a spring in the step of what appeared an archaic and mundane system at times the past two years.

I love Parcells but something wasn't clicking with the staff.

the DC will be either Brian Stewart, and if San Diego refuses him to leave, Todd Bowles, but like you say, Phillips will be basically running the D

Phillips will be running it at least this season in my opinion until the defensive players have an understanding of what he wants. Afterwards he may give more control over to the DC
