How you guys feel about these prospects in the first 3 rounds and which prospect you would choose? I know we need to draft a QB in the late rounds, but assuming we get an extra 4 round pick we can move up in the round a get that QB for the future. I'm thinking CB, S, LB is our biggest need right now. Rolando McClaim 1 year deal and not playing well. Sean Lee will concussion/injury concerns. Brandon Car big contract and not playing anywhere the kind of money is being paid. Mo Carborne will test free agency and change of address may be in his best interest.

FYI i didn't list in not particular order!

2016 NFL Draft
1. Round
Ezekiel Elliott RB
Jalen Ramsey S/CB
Myles Jack OLB
Jaylon Smith OLB
Jayron Kearse S

2. Round
Josh Doctson WR
Kendall Fuller CB
William Jackson CB
Tyler Matakevich ILB
Kendell Beckwith ILB

3. Round
Devontae Booker RB
Vonn Bell S
Travin Duval WR
Jeremy Cash S
Corey Clement RB

Depends on where we pick some of those guys might not even make it to our pick.

Jalen Ramsey is the only player I would take if on the board. Other than that I am looking to trade down in hopes of getting Elliot and additional picks.

If you are looking for a QB of the future, drafting a QB after the 3rd is a wasted pick.

Drafting a QB at all after the third is a wastes pick, even if you are looking for a backup

1. Ramsey
2. Doctson
3. Booker

Unfortunately Ramsey won't be there unless the Cowboys are picking top 5-10 and Doctson isn't going to make it out of the 1st when its all said and done. Maybe even top 20 on draft day. Booker probably goes mid-late 2nd so he's probably not going to be available either.

Not a bad list. I think we'll love Jaylon Smith. We reportedly were high on Shazier in 2014 and Shaq Thompson in 2015. Those guys have similar profiles to Smith, and with McClain's contract expiring & Lee's lengthy injury history, that pick would make a heck of a lot of sense.

Myles Jack is in a similar mold too, but the knee will have to check out.

Jaylon smith IMO is a 3/4 middle lber.

Me i would rather have Miles Jack. Smiths ceiling is reached IMO. Jack has so much more potential.

Any way you can explain that a bit? You might be right, but I haven't watched enough of him to make a determination.

The guy is just a physical beast. He's all over the field and he can do it all. Defend and cover. Imagine having 2 sean Lees on the outside. Move Hitchens inside. Jack would easily make this teams LBer core the most versatile in the NFL. NOt only that he can actually cover the slot. As he did this alot for UCLA. Watch videos on him. Smith and Jack are both very good LBers. I just believe Jacks ceiling is so much higher.

I kinda put them in the Shaq Thompson Paul Dawson debate there was last yr. Except Smith/Jack are legit stars. Thompson was the more athletic athlete rather than just a good LBer that Dawson was. Thompson starts for Carolina, Dawson doesnt even sniff the field for the LB craved Bengals. While i dont think Smith will be religated to ST duties that Dawson is, I dont think Smith will make the impact that Jack will.
