Game Day Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions | Postgame

However they have an actual NFL front office where winning is the goal versus what Dallas has. They have a GM who actually does his job (building/improving his football team) rather than scheduling concerts, drilling oil wells and standing in front of television cameras or radio microphones. Big difference.
The NYG, NYJ, Cleveland, and AZ have drafted at the top of the draft for many many years of late….and it hasn’t gotten them anywhere.
GM and coaching followed by QB play are the most important things these days by a huge margin. SF was missing half their players and kept winning, Lions were last night too and still hung 44 on us in a must win game…
Furthermore, I’m convinced any other DC in the NFL would’ve fielded a vastly better D for us this year and resulted in 2-4 more wins.

Seriously? He was on an island all day against the best. He’s very good.
We need great at that position. We don’t need very good. And he was getting help at times but you can’t give help on every play when the other slug at RT is getting beat consistently. He was like a turnstile out there. It was embarrassing. Dak’s lucky he didn’t get killed with the way both OTs were playing. I will give Thomas this. He is young and inexperienced and could grow into the player we need at that position. However, Steele should be done in Dallas. He is terrible and seems to be regressing. These are just my opinions so I don’t expect you to agree.

Yea disappointed, but a month ago EVERYBODY said they need 2 of these 3 to have a chance. And that's before we say PHI fold and maybe start crumpling.

Well, they won 2 of the 3. There will be a LOT of time to be miserable in the long off season. For now, let's see how it plays out.

Did Pickens tank this game on purpose?
..no, they just took him out of contention. He was getting doubled all night, even tripled on occasions.

Then defense keeps letting them score. Offense cant keep up. Pickens moral began to wane.

You see his effort, particularly that bomb he could have at least made an attempt to catch? The double thing was not excuse for him the prior games CD missed. His performance was alarmingly lackluster from an effort perspective

How do we find the Thread that many fans gave their predictions for this 2025 season record right before the season started? :flagwave: :D

For all those questioning ceedee being soft and all the stupid comments in the game thread when it happened. He was posturing and obviously concussed:

One thing for sure is, when we go up against a team that has Physical LB play we fail, Mostly due to what this offense practice against vs who they face on the field.

Eberflus went away from the 5 man front last night when it was working the last 3 games and in the first quarter last night.

Our linebackers could stay with Gibbs coming out of the backfield. he hit several of our defenders with dead leg moves and cut up the field. Made Bland/Murray look like a JV players on several plays. I can't fault the players too much because Gibbs is the best back in the league and would make most defenders look silly.

Our secondary especially 34 & 14 couldn't stay with WRs on slants and dig routes across the field. Period point blank, Goff didn't complete a pass for over 10 yards all game. I'm on the couch and know St Brown isn't going to be you vertical, only with digs and out routes. Eberflus get paid by this organization and couldn't identify this.

Offensive line was horrible. 5 sacks and countless pressures. 71 is a depth tackle at best and not starter material. He was sleep at the wheel on several plays. Guyton might create silly false start penalties but i can see why he's the starter on this team. Lesser of two evils.

Run game was non existent up the middle and kept trying to run between the tackles oppose to attacking the edges. At least send Williams in the flats for screens to soften up the pass rush.

Pickens getting a lot of blame this game and could be deserving from the fans & media but he was questionable all week and took a nasty hit/fall in that first drive and you could tell something was off with him from that point forward. He wasn't winning his route matchups and letting defenders go through him to break up the pass. I don't feel like he didn't care about the game which is the narrative but seem like something was off him.

Ferg's play last night was a carbon copy of the Cardinals game. Just not smart football on his end last night. Trying to do too much and cost the cowboys points and opportunities. Not going to write him off yet but he has to be smart on the field. We needed him to chip more on 71 side and then release into his route.

Dak played good, missed some throws I am sure he would want to have back but its hard to go throw progressions with constant pressure in your face all night. I know causals want to see this guy fail and place blame at his feet but he had a solid game. Any logical fan could see that who doesn't have agenda against the man. He has the hit CD when he was wide open though, I will give the haters credit on that play. The back shoulder throw in the endzone where CD was concussed was bang bang to me and I give CD credit for trying to make a play on the ball.

Mingo can get off this team, I don't mind giving players grace but we haven't seen you play all year and when you're number is called, Dak hit you in the hands and you drop a gimme. Got to question guy's heart if they really want to play this game or just check collecting and buying time for that cushy NFL pension. Next man up mentality and you're nowhere to be found.

Bottom line this a solid team that's scrappy and a tough out to beat but we need to address holes on defense and tackle position during the off season.

Who kidnapped Acho? That cant be him.
i know it wasnt you tomo i just happened to quote your comment., but that other guy I guess on X.... blaming officiating in sports is so lame and so ugly and it comes off as poor sportsmanship. Every team in every league gets jobbed here and there. And we have to hope it evens out over the course of time.
