Game Day Dallas Cowboys at Las Vegas Raiders | Postgame

:hammer:That might be the whackiest play I've ever seen in the league...in my 45+ years. I thought you had to drop kick it.....for it to be a legal onside kick. Just goes to show...the league has completely botched these new kickoff rules....to the point nobody knows WTH they are doing.
I think teams are still figuring out what they can and can't do. It will probably take a few years to find what's best.

Maybe it's just a natural reaction to their teammate's suicide, but I really like the subdued comments after this win. CeeDee saying they shouldn't just recognize their brother this game because it's their first game back. Dak made comments like that. There's a lot going around. That would be awesome if this was a catalyst to something bigger. Even Aikman mentioned it and he's no homer. Tough road ahead. All winning teams, and they did no favors for themselves by losing to teams like Chicago and Carolina that could end up as Wild Cards and the tie breaker. Can still beat Minnesota and Detroit though. Looks like NFC North may get 2 Wild Cards this year.

Panthers and Cardinals are hurting our efforts the most IMO. Chicago has become a legitimate playoff contender, even though I think the Bears might still come back to earth.

Saw the HC address the team postgame and he continues to make me root for his success as a HC.

I like Schotty, man. The team seems to as well.
Hard not to like the guy. Easy to chalk it up as another Jerry Puppet, but I've been seeing good things from him all year. Hope he makes it.

This team is going to franchise Pickens and draft two generational talents on defense. We’re going to the Super Bowl in 2026.

I don't know about you but I'd like my starting LT to be able to take a punch better than that. Especially with a helmet on.
He should be forced to change his name from Guyton to Girlton.

I think Maxx Crosby wants to be a Dallas Cowboys DE.

I would explore it before the 2026 draft. We all know Dallas won't do much via free agency. So once they know what the cap looks like...I'd think about exploring a trade.
Feel that way too. Wish those rumors had been true.

Someone needs to explain the onside rules to Turpin and Pickens. They got luck the Raiders players were just as clueless.

Turpin put his hand up for a fair catch than waived his teammates off instead of running up and catching the ball.

Not sure what the Raiders were thinking just watching it bounce, it was like everyone thought it was a normal punt, not an onsides kick.
I did some research and I think I am the one who doesn't know the rule. Because Turpin called a fair catch I believe the Raiders had to wait for it to hit the ground before fielding it but I do think Pickens should have called the fair catch and caught it.

"When a team calls for a fair catch on an onside kick, the receiving team must wait for the ball to bounce before touching it. The fair catch rule allows the receiving team to catch the ball without interference from the kicking team"

That was just a weird play, never seen an onside kick attempted with a punt.

Its like all the players were not really sure what to do either.

I think that was the best game I remember Carson having also. If the light comes on for him, that would be a huge plus for the CB spot.
I thought Carson looked pretty good too.
It would be really nice if he could show he’s someone they can count on next year so they don’t “have to” spend one of their Firsts on a CB
