[SIZE=-1]Communicate with vendors, agents, manufacture offices and product team members to ensure a smooth development process. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Requires some travel to factory/vendor locations. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Lead material development efforts within the category. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Research new technologies and fabrications in coordination with design, materials department and vendors. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Provide product team with new ideas and appropriate options. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Work with cross-functional product team to meet style commercialization and material development timelines. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Ensure that all appropriate development documentation is maintained for assigned styles. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Responsible for sending technical packages to allocated vendors. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Coordinate all information and test samples for materials approval. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Collaborate with category product team to understand and accomplish seasonal product concepts. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Participate in fit sessions and product reviews with category team regarding assigned styles. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Identify key issues in product construction, material selection, manufacturing and pricing. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Collaborate on resolutions in a timely manner. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Provide sourcing with necessary information for pre-costing and source allocation. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Collaborate with sourcing on pre-costing exercise. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Coordinate with technical services to ensure prototypes accurately reflect construction specifications. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Participate in on-site development trips as required. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Minimum Requirements: [/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Bachelor's degree in textiles science, apparel merchandising, retail or related field. 5-7 years in related role. Key knowledge of apparel construction, material construction and properties, textile manufacturing, costing. Good understanding of development processes from inception through production.[/SIZE]

Candidate needs to be Microsoft proficient. Candidate should be eligible to receive college credit in lieu of wages.
