When a player moves up from the college rank, he quickly learns that talent alone won't insure greatness or even a roster place. Here is where I start to draw the line for Rolando McClain. He is a talented player with a blue collar work habit. He just won't fill the bill needed in the very middle of a defense. He is becoming a liability, because due to his lean work habits, he just isn't the center of the Dallas defense. He is steadily becoming more dysfunctional, due to his not being the glue that cements the defense. He can fill a positional need...but with directions now a concern, how much longer can he be passed around as a problem?
