Dallas Cowboys film room: La’el Collins
By Marcus Mosher
The 2016 off-season for the Dallas Cowboys is going to be one of their most fascinating in quite some time. A year ago, this team was 12-4 and was one bogus call (hello Mr. Blandino) away from going to Seattle for a chance to play in the Super Bowl. Now, Dallas is competing for the worst record in the NFL and deservedly so. Things certainly change awful fast in the NFL.
As we look forward towards the 2016 season, there are many questions that will need to be answered. Will Dallas try to load up for one final run with Tony Romo and the rest of the gang? Or will they concede that Romo’s window has been slammed shut and will begin preparations to make a run in the near future with a younger quarterback, via the draft or trade? In either scenario, Dallas is going to need to be heavily reliant on their offensive line to help guide them to the path of success (Or we could just let Dj Khaled do it for us).
Luckily for Dallas, ( I shouldn’t say luckily. They’ve invested three first round picks) their offensive line is young enough and good enough to be a solid foundation for either scenario. So today, I thought it would be insightful to check back in on Cowboys rookie left guard La’el Collins to see just how well he has been playing. By now, I’m sure you’ve all seen the video of La’el Collins running stride for stride
