LOL cause Romo has just as many as Dak right now.

good thing this coaching staff doesnt handle their players starting with hyperboles like you do erod! good thing.

not Dak's fault Tony keeps getting hurt and it put him in this situation.

The only season that counts is the one you're playing now.
There's no guarantee that the Cowboys even sniff the playoffs next year.

Yes, but I prefer to look at the long term ... for Dallas to be a contender every year because it is hard to get to Super Bowls, much less win them. It takes a combination of skill and good breaks. To say this team must cash in this season is expecting more than every team but one can deliver.

I hope for the best, but I don't put those kind of expectations on that level.

its a fuzzy feel good fan thought. i feel ya. i hear ya. but im glad its not a cowboys coach thought turned into practicality.

you may be right man. you may be right but its just bad business and a bad habit to start benching players for doing as good as Dak has for the playoffs. Romo knows the dude has earned it no matter how bad Romo wants to be out there.

its a business. its cold and calculated. somethings just shouldnt be ruled by feel good feelings.

ill be honest with you Erod. after I saw Romo come out there against the eglets I was extremely nostalgic and a bit teary eyed. I miss him bad. But I know the reality of the situation.

I almost caught myself saying... man I wish Dak wasn't doing as good as he was doing. ALMOST! I snapped myself out of that hypnosis real quick.

If it's about right now, then there's a better QB on the bench. That's just the simple truth.
Was thinking exactly that on my ride home from work tonight. There is no doubt that Romo would offer a more explosive offense. I understand what we are doing with Dak, but if this is about this SB run then Tony is your guy...he just brings much more to the table at this point.

Whatever they decide, Dak and Tony will be fine either way. But no Romo, no Super Bowl. He's our only hope, Mr. Skywalker.

Well yeah, when you have the #1 seed anything short of getting to the SB is a disappointment. The bar has been raised for this season.

Where is he, I only see one Super Bowl style QB on this roster, and it's Dak.

Romo has been here since 2003 and still no SB unfortunately. What makes you so confident that this is the year he could deliver us an SB?

Because DAK? I'm sorry I fail to see the correlation beyond hyperbole. Were you confident about 2015 too?

This article is misleading. Its not a now or never situation with the Cowboys. Were just getting started with a new dynasty. We'll be seeing multiple superbowls for the years to come so long Dak and Zeke can still perform at a high level.

LOL I would believe that if he can stay healthy. I'd rather stick with Dak. Don't fix what ain't broken.

There's hope for the future of this team without necessarily "cashing in" immediately. Much of the last 20 years were marred with mediocre drafts, while for the last several years, our drafts have been exceptional. Hopefully, Will McClay will be content to stay with Dallas, especially if Jerry should decide to augment his pay to deflect the temptation for him to accept a GM post elsewhere.

Dak and Zeke are young studs who are probably destined to remain with the Cowboys for a long, long time to come. The defense is on the upswing and the next draft is likely to see defensive changes that should make a positive impact on that side of the ball.

This appears to be the beginning of a new era in Dallas, as opposed to the era of stagnation that has marked the last 20 years. Stephen has been granted a greater say in management as well. So, as noted at the outset of this post, there is hope for better times to come for the Cowboys.

Personally as of this very day, I don't care about the next 7 to 10 years, I want the Cowboys to get this Championship drought off their backs now. You're not guaranteed this kind of season for the next 7 to 10 years
I don't think anybody doesn't want to win it all this year, just tired of hearing it's this year or nothing.

Give up what? It's football logic. Not my responsibility to teach it to you.
Many reasons to think he can just look how the Giants won with Eli as QB in 2007. IMO Dak is very much an upgrade over Eli version 2007.

Very true! I am curious to see what the Cowboy Defense has to offer in the Playoffs. That will turn out to be what really decides the Cowboy season. Eli knows..so does Wilson.
