"dallas cowboys official weekly newspaper" will become "dallas cowboys star magazine"....described as a slick, new magazine format with a better grade of paper, more pages, and more color.

the website will also be updated.

i agree....they could have made all the other changes and kept the same name.

I used to subscribe to it but this forum and other Cowboy related websites give me much faster access to same stuff carried in that newspaper. If their new magazine provides the kind of indepth coverage that we can't find elsewhere, then I'd take another look at it.

What good is a magazine analyzing the upcoming game, that arrives after the game has been played??

these days when you subscribe you get access to the online version as well, so if you still get it slowly in the mail for whatever reason, you can read the new issue online monday morning.

The same argument could be made for all major publications, Time, Newsweek, etc, which is why circulation is down across the board.

Magazines are no longer about breaking news and rumors, but more about in-depth stories and personal interest. I will still subscribe, just to have something casual to read that is Cowboys-related when lounging around.

And you prolly didn't want any analysis from games in those years. 3-13, and 1-15.

Me too! Day late and a dolla short! I even sometimes didn't receive an issue at all!!!

I subscribed to it around 1991 I beleive, and I wasn't getting mine until after the game either. Needless to say, I didn't re-subscribe. After all my Linux mags I get, I'm sure my wife would be unhappy if I subscribed to another mag. hah :laugh2:

I used the promo code that was posted in this thread (which for some reason is gone now) and got 50 % off. IT was only 24.95 for the year and that includes the internet version as well.
