If he does that he would cost himself 10's of millions of dollars in the long run. He's got to be a bit of a boys scout if he wants top dollar.. The rest of this year and on into next year if he is tagged. If he pouts or acts like biatch his valuation WILL fall. Especially if his antics also cost him production. Or if it just reveals him to be a "me" player. Early in the season we all saw him jogging routes when he was not the #1 option and his effort in blocking in the run game earned Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks more playing time. Since the light bulb has come on not only has his own production skyrocketed but so has his level of effort. Now we see him running out his clear out routes.. we see him blocking for the backs.. We see his route tree picking up options.. He is becoming a more complete player which helps everyone involved. If he reverts back to "I need to git mines or I will pout" then nobody is offering him top WR money. You can't put a bunch of loafs on tape and demand top dollar. He would go the route of Moss and Owens and hop around from team to team. Making good money but never his true worth. .
I realize what you're saying, and normally that holds true, but why did it work for Parsons..
he became all those things in social media, His agent supported the circus, I know Jerry was involved, but they pushed it so far even Jerry had a line, he got his way, parsons was on the hook if he held out games it was going to be like over what 1.5 million per game missed, he was willing to do it,
jerry blinked and he traded him...
That's the thing, there's always an anomaly,
you remember Antonio Brown and Le'veon Bell, what they did to Pittsburgh ,I realized Le'veon Bell pretty much ruined his career doing it, but they can do it ,there are a handful of crazy players and I guarantee George Pickens and that agent are that type, you can tell he did it with Parsons, he's got the same type, if not crazier client, willing to do crazy things..
Like I said,
you want to see crazy, you remember the Reputation George was bringing him here, that's why we got him for a 3rd, he's been on his best behavior ,he's been playing great, but you start making him play for less money and forcing him to stay on a team ,and I guarantee he's not thinking about those things you listed up there, which would be common sense, but some dudes are born without common sense and what they have an agent who has a giant ego, and would support that lack of common sense ,sometimes it works, it literally just worked with Parsons forced his way off this team..
he got all the money he wanted green Bay, didn't care that he faked injuries, and that he was being a Giant Tool online, literally all that circus led him to everything he wanted.
But yeah if it was any other player ,maybe we could use common sense, and logic in this, but we see it with guys like Antonio Brown who by the way we realized was as crazy as we thought the man had pre CTE before he had real CTE, this man is willing to do it and Oh my God they came from the same place the irony here Pittsburgh Steelers,
That's where George Pickens came from, pittsburgh didn't want anything to do with him,
So what will he do it, will be a shock to me if he would agree to play on the franchise tag, he won't sign it to begin with, that will be the first play, that will be the posturing ,that we all started with Parsons, just refuse to come to the building, & the piece of paper or whatever they're doing nowadays it could be digital whatever it is, that's their first play is to not agree to be tagged...
yes, that would put him in limbo.
It might get negotiations moving, and maybe Jerry doesn't blink maybe he signs the tag with an agreement, that he will allow him to shop himself on a 1st round tender, and then see what kind of offers come in, and then Jerry decides whether it's worth matching which would show each side the value, a real true value, not an inflated one ,or not a lowball 1, but true value..
I Guess what I'm saying is that you they need to use the tag like it was originally thought ,like it extended negotiations ,it opened up negotiations, but it needs to lead to long term extension or a trade ,not make a guy play unhappy..
this is not Prescott we're talking about , this is a guy who might be willing to push the limits to get out...
