that fake spike was great, and totally fooled dallas.
But now next time maybe they dont stand there.
kudos to pitt on that play, it should have won the game for them.

Even Sean Lee just stood there. He realized the trap quicker than most, but kind of his job to make sure everyone doesn't lose focus in that sort of situation.

I'm not sure there's anything he could have done there. He was playing his position, which was not to rush the QB, and he was no where near where the ball eventually went. By the time he shouts "fake", it was too late.

The D-line and (maybe) the safety were the only part of the play where a difference could have been made, so it's on them. And to be fair to the D-line, the way the rest of the Steeler's O-line and Bell acted, I'm not sure any of them knew either -- might have just been an audible between Roethlisberger and Brown.

Also, I was actually happy they scored on that play. They seemed destined to score on the drive, and they scored quickly enough to give the Cowboys time to retaliate. A slower score would have ended the game.

I think the only reason to be happy that they scored so quickly is that we won. If they score on that, and we don't answer, then that's the final meaningful play of the game. We're having a completely different conversation on the board today.

As far as responsibility, I'm not saying it's all on Lee or that he was in position to defend the play. But as the leader of the defense, an experienced vet and the guy with the green dot on his helmet - it's primarily on him to, before the play, demand that everyone is on guard.

There was no communication between any of the players in that scenario, and it's the sort of thing that only happens to a team once per season. They'll react differently in a similar scenario further down the road.

To not pat myself on the back to hard, saw that coming when I saw Ben yelling at the receiver prior to the play. It was a good throw, and not that much of a fake out
