Dallas Cowboys Receiver Cole Beasley: Stardom delayed

After the team flopped last season, is 2016 the year Dallas Cowboys wide out Cole Beasley finally gets recognition as the best slot receiver in the NFL?
Greatness delayed. At least that’s what Dallas Cowboys fans are hoping is happening for arguably the best slot receiver in the NFL, Cole Beasley.
On the brink of stardom last year after stellar performances in the offseason and throughout training camp, Beasley’s hope of a true breakout season were dashed when starting quarterback Tony Romo‘s collarbone fractured twice limiting the four-time Pro Bowler to only four appearances in 2015.
Without Romo under center, the 5-8, 180 pound receiver struggled to find chemistry with the Cowboys three other quarterbacks. Beasley would still somehow end the season recording a career-high 52 receptions for 536 yards and five touchdowns.
Beasley finally did find a connection with back-up quarterback Kellen Moore in the last game of the Cowboys 4-12 season, recording five receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to the Washington Commanders.
Once again, Beasley is enjoying another solid offseason. And I’d expect nothing but the same from him come training camp in late July. But will this finally be the year the undrafted wide out out of SMU gets his due nationally?
Beasley is a niche’ player. And last season proved he’ll only go as far as Romo will take him. Stacked with offensive stars, the 36-year old quarterback has plenty of mouths to feed when it comes to getting players the ball...
