Appreciate all the great QBs who have contributed to our great franchise. But it is exciting to have a new young QB whose playing as well as Romo is and whose helping this team to already a new record of 11-1 wins. Can't believe how many records Romo has a chance to break this season alone. He's already got the TD record & most 300 yard games in a season & is looking to be on pace to break or move up on a bunch of others.

Of course we all know how great Meredith was as well as Roger/Troy & yes Danny White as well. And certainly not saying that Romo is better then any of them. We've had too many great QBs to even think that. Besides we all know it's about the SB wins. But for the first time since 1996, we are really being viewed as a legit SB contender despite view Pats win everything. And what is more important, we Cowboy fans believe the players are playing at an elite level. I have no doubt that the Cowboys can beat any time in the NFL but we will see whether that includes the Pats when we meet them in Arizona.

Must admit when Crayton opened his mouth after we lost to Pats that I had wished he would just shut up. Now here the Cowboys are soon getting ready to play Detroit in 13th game of the season & we are the talk of the NFL (despite portions of the media) along with the Pats and a very few other NFL teams.

Hos, you should add # of 300 yard passing games in a season.

The passing yards stat loses some of it's luster with Bledsoe and Testaverde both in the top 5.

Romo is on pace to have the most TDs AND completions in FEWER attempts!

With Romo poised to top the list on passing yards without the most attempts and completions shows his amazing YPA.

Oh yeah, he isn't going to break the TD record, he is going obliterate it. :D

We could also add, most consecutive QB Rating of 100+, most consecutive games with passing TD in a season as well.

Not only the receivers...the QB's took some serious shots back in the day.

I'm not making light of Romo's accomplishments but the rules favor the passer .

I didn't count those because I don't have the game stats of every season.

Has alot of information on there.

I believe that Romo passed Meredith for most 300 yard games in a career now. Meredith only had 7. Danny White is second with 10 and Aikman is first with 13. Just another record that Romo will own.

Romo is quickly setting himself as the greatest passer (not QB) in the history of the Dallas Cowboys.

I do. This came up a few weeks ago. I had no idea Staubach had a 104.8 rating in 1971.
I'd guess you could add 15-20 points to that to translate to todays game.

Seeing Quincy Carter on one of the lists goes to show you how good a coach BP was.....

I didn't realize how much our running game and defense were that powerful back then for Aikman not to have much on the board as far as stats. In my eyes, we don't need a great running attack with as well as our OLine pass-blocks, and Romo knows how to find the end zone.

It helps to have an unstoppable WR on this team and a coordinator and head coach who knows how to scheme to make TO dynamic.
