DALLAS COWBOYS TRAINING CAMP ONE-LINERS
Posted by Michael David Smith on July 27, 2008, 10:52 a.m. EDT

LB Zach Thomas is glad to be back in full contact: “Yeah, it was exciting to put the pads on. This is real football, not flag football. That doesn’t count. This is when you find out where the players are.”

Thomas thinks highly of fellow ILB Bradie James.

CB Adam Jones had the hardest hit of the day.

Keyshawn Johnson visited camp, but he insisted that it was just in his role as an ESPN reporter, and he’s not contemplating a comeback.

DE Jason Hatcher put G Leonard Davis on his back during a pass-rushing drill.

LB DeMarcus Ware says he’s not concerned about his contract.

Former Cowboys RB Duane Thomas says WR Terrell Owens reminds him of himself.

Everyone in Dallas seems glad to have Dave Campo back.

CB Mike Jenkins grew up with a mother with health problems and a father who was in and out of jail.

DT Tank Johnson says he’s in good shape after going through an off-season program, which he couldn’t do in 2007.

I'm not buying this. He's throwing out some feelers to see if the Boys would be interested in him. Part of me says bring him in and see what happens, but the other part says he's too old, has been out of football too long, and we don't need a possession receiver.

There was another thread on the zone yesterday that also discussed him coming to Oxnard for ESPN and it was said he was up to 270 lbs. If he has gotten that heavy, he wouldn't even make 3rd string TE.

So now he's trying to be like Mike Williams instead of Williams being like him. :laugh2:
