According to David Moore,

"How bad was this loss for Dallas? Cowboys held ball for 12:44 of 4th quarter and were outscored 20-10 in period."

And we still lost. Unreal!
If that stat is true, it's absolutely unbelievable. Marinelli needs to be fired. You can blame the players, which I wouldn't disagree with, but he's the one drafting them and after multiple years of lackluster talent it's now a trend.

It's very true, on our final drive we held the ball for 8 minutes.

We miss Lee, but I'd say there's more talent on this D than some ranked higher. It's our bend don't break scheme that isn't setup for our player strengths. We've played this way for over a decade and we haven't been competive when it counts since

Whether you blame the the talent or the scheme, they both come back to Marinelli.

If you blame the scheme, obviously that's directly on Marinelli. If you blame the talent, well that's also on him because he's had 4 years to build talent through free agency and the draft and he's failed to do so. Either way it's on him.

Wow - we all understood how ugly it was as it unfolded in real time. But that stat is so ugly, it seems impossible. Shockingly inept.

His insistence on not getting tackles because he likes his orphans has been his biggest problem. You can't complain too much about what's been added in secondary so far. It just never comes together at the same time (pass rush rocking plus picks coming from the back)

I've said it before the offense has to play basically perfect for this team to win.

They simply can not rely on the defense to do anything.

If the defense does that's icing on the cake but the offense has to play every down, every game, as if they're going to be the sole reason for winning the game, because they're going to have to be.

That INT can't happen. It just can't.

Leaving a minute plus on the clock for any QB, let alone one like AR, can NOT happen with this D.

They are absolutely useless.

A key play was the 3rd down just before the Cowboys field goal at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

The Packers defender was on Witten's back before the ball arrived and he basically held Witten's arm down. That would have been a 1st at the 12 yard line (i.e. They probably got robbed of 4 points).

I agree but we cannot expect Dak to be flawless game in game out for us to win

Marinelli doesn't sign players, that's the GM's job. In the end, the GM should have access to infinitely more data than a Coordinator, so he should ask for the coaches input and override him if necessary. That's how it works.
