We win last 2, Atl., Minn., Wash. lose 1, we're in
We lose one, win one, finish 9-7, then those 3 teams all ned to lose their last 2 and we are in.
With the Schedules of Carolina and TB, it's best for them to win, for our situation. We do not need to be in tie breaker situations, we only hold the edge over Atl. right now.

The Cowboys do not need that much help. If they beat the Panthers and Lambs, they only need:

The Deadskins to lose to the Giants or Eagles.

or

The Yucs to lose one of their last two.

or

The Panthers to lose to the Falcons.

The Cowboys will jump ahead of the Vikings due to a tie at conference record, a tie in common games, and a better strength of win.

The common thread is that we NEED TO WIN.

Maybe it is just the jiminy cricket in me but I think we will come out with a herculean effort on Saturday. They have worked too hard this season not to do so.

Dallas' playoff chances were shot down yesterday.....it's all over now.

Everyone knows that Dallas has no offensive line, so they will blitz to a win against the Cowboys.

If Washington, Minny, Atlanta and Dallas all lose one more - which is highly likely, then Washington goes.

The other three teams mentioned all have to win their last 2 and have the others lose one. Washington goes if they win their last 2 or if all four lose 1.

Sorry, but this team doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.

We had a clear path and we blew it.

So, I'm not engaging in any what-if scenarios. I'll just wait until the end of the season to find out that we're preparing for the draft.

WOW you may as well not even tune in then. Sounds like maybe it's time to find somewhere else to post.

You mean everyone has to be blindly optimistic to be a fan?

Thanks for letting us know.

Blindly optimistic? No, but confident in a team that has only been out of one game this year, and who'll be angry from being embarrased this week, is a good start. Tell me why I shouldn't think they'll win on Sat?

Im going to the game Saturday, but do think if the same kind of abysmal effort from the Cowboys is on display as yesterday, the game will be over in the 2nd quarter again. The Panthers are playing at home and getting ready for a playoff run.
I think for us to be even hinting at the playoffs is a bit of a stretch, IMHO. Yesterday may have been a season-killing game.

we were completely out of the games @nyg, @philly, and now @nyg

why would we have any chance against a team that is better than all 3?

As to why we shouldn't win, carolinas defense is what, #2 in the league? They have 2 great DEs and our tackles are god awful.

How about the fact we just gave up 35 points to the Commanders

Uh, the Panthers have a stronger front seven than the Commanders. And they're going against our swiss cheese OL.

Uh, Bledsoe wilts like a grape exposed to direct sunlight when he feels pressure.

Uh, the Panthers will be fighting for their playoff lives too.

Uh, if we let Santana Moss get deep and beat us, imagine what Steve Smith (who has been torching almost every secondary in the league) is going to do to us.

Uh, our defensive line can't get a pass rush going even though we supposedly re-tooled to do so.

Sorry, but I have little confidence in the Cowboys right about now. I have little confidence in Drew Bledsoe.

I'll always be a Cowboys fan. But this just doesn't look like a strong team to me.

Look at the last few road games we've had.

We all know about yesterdays disaster.

Two weeks ago we went to NY and fell behind 17 -0 and had virutally zero offense. We got our only TD after a turnover inside the red zone.

The road game prior to that was the Philly game where we were down 20-7 and showed no life until the final 3:00.

I'm not saying we can't win, but I haven't seen anything lately that would make me confident we will.

Those stellar DEs and the rest of that Def. don't depend on the sack as much as you'd like to believe. The have 35 sacks to our 32. So that's like saying that we have a stellar Defense, and should eat up their OL. They also have NO running game. The teams that have beaten us have decent running games, at least the teams lately.....KC, Den, NY, Wash,
