Forget trick plays and just concentrate on executing your regular playbook really good .
What if you execute trick plays really well?

I like the idea of running the ball straight up the middle behind this offensive line.
.... No tricks.
Bread and butter time of possession winner every game.
"Jap" plays be damned ..you know every solid group has em...be around you a very long time sir..although i agree with the former statement..later is the fun part of this thread..giver it up alexander..you of all people have been around. you know stuff...yes indeed.Turner at times would call a flea flicker. So would Zampese.
Beyond a misdirection reverse and the fake of the same here and there, that is the extent of Garrett's imagination.
But that is okay. I would prefer the trainee master the basics of situational playcalling before he tries to employ what he learned in Jap Plays 101.
we do not need a trick play
everyone needs a trick play...if you guys have been married for at-least a year..you need a trick play. personally and on the field gotta have one. Anything else and you're fly in by the seat of your pants...rookies...lol!!we do not need a trick play
If I were coaching a mediocre offense I'd hire a Trick Play Assistant and run a trick play once per half. The benefits would last all game as defenses would constantly have to be prepared for anything.
If some of the plays are successful, by Week 5 you wouldn't even need to run them anymore if you don't want to. Defenses would have to stay "ready" for anything and it would compromise the D-Coordinator's creativity.
I want to see this with Dez throwing to Williams:
Trick plays only work when you do something very well. And usually that is based on sucking in the defense to stop the run.
Landry was notorious for the gadget plays.
Garrett probably would be better off on Stubborn Rookie versus ratcheting it up to Madden level.
I used to love when parcells called a flea flicker at least a few times each year. Lololol terry Glenn made them pay !
For a while there it seemed like it was once a game!
Any clean set of downs past the 40 yard line. It was like clockwork.
Garrett could benefit from a couple gadget plays. When he's asked about it, he deflects to talking about play action or delayed draws. But I don't think he believes in gadget plays philosophically for some reason.

Those are nice and all but I'm much more concerned with the other side of the ball.Dallas needs a new trick play for 2014
You know the one that can be pulled out at just the right time.
