Dallas not hurt by Sproles signing with Eagles

Did Philly get a great player with tread still on the tires? Yes indeed.

Do the Cowboys have anything more to fear? ummmm...no.

Sproiles and Shady won't both be lined up in a 2-back offense in that Philly spread, so what they really purchased was a solid punt returner and a backup that won't change their offense when Shady's out.

Bottom line: I fear Shady McCoy more than Sproles, so that signing did nothing to actually shift the power. If Philly adds some CBs who can actually cover, then we'll see a shift.

Sproles is at end of his career. Thats why Philly only needed to give up a 5th rounder for him.

thank you. D-Coordinators across the league will be exhaling whenever Sproles subs in for McCoy

Sproles and Shady make a pretty lethal combination that we would surely relish having if our roles were reversed. Nevertheless, we are what we are. The Eagles have had it better than we have for some time, so it's not like anything has drastically changed. This team needs to get younger, faster and more cap healthy before we're likely to challenge the better teams within this league. In the meantime, let's be patient while we stay the course doing exactly that. Hopefully, we'll make some good draft choices as we attempt to finally return to sporting an elite talent pool. Let's face it -- it's been decades since we could honestly make that claim.

He'll be lined up as receiver too get the mismatch, chip will use him, and people here get mad when they made the CHris Johnson thread obviously they have some fire power and they want too win now, not just sit back and settle for those 8-8 years and give Garrett and extension, cause he never really had money and the past and Jerry wants too see what he can do with some money lol

I don't like him in returns and he adds more speed to a unit packed with it. Our D is somewhat slow as well...

Respectively disagree. Think they can use either guy in the slot or split while one is in backfield. Can create mismatches with LBs. JMO.

So adding a dynamic play maker to a division rival doesn't help them? What a relief! Seriously what is wrong with people?

I don't think the Eagles were worried about the Cowboys when they picked up Sproles.

The Eagles are no where good enough to not be worried about their division opponents...especially one they squeaked by due to them missing their starting QB.

The Eagles as it stands right now, are better than the Commanders, Giants, and the Cowboys.

It will no doubt make them better but we havent got worse yet. We lost ware but whos to say we can get a de to do what he did last year. Hatcher will be gone but we dont know how his replacements will be yet. Marinelli running the d is a for sure improvement. Time will tell.

Well, yeah. Obviously the tide shifts when teams add more cornerbacks. That's football 101.

I tend to not worry about it because I don't think the Saints would trade him away for only a 5th rounder to a conference rival unless they thought he was more or less done.

I wouldn't chant NFCEast Champions yet for the Eagles but lets not ignore the elephant inthe room and pretend like defending the screen against the Eagles didn't get a helluva a lot harder for the Cowboys.
