Somehow I think Chip Kelly will find a way for both guys to get on the field.

Odds are, they'll be isolating linebackers in coverage all day.

Sproiles and Shady won't both be lined up in a 2-back offense in that Philly spread, so what they really purchased was a solid punt returner and a backup that won't change their offense when Shady's out.

Bottom line: I fear Shady McCoy more than Sproles, so that signing did nothing to actually shift the power. If Philly adds some CBs who can actually cover, then we'll see a shift.

sproles is a perfect fit for the chip kelly offense. He has about 2 good years left before severely declining is the problem.

The eagles defense won't be good enough to compete against the likes of seattle or san francisco until around 2 years and that is if they draft well these next two drafts.

I have to agree. Chip Kelly showed A LOT of creativity this last season in adjusting his system to fit Nick Foles' QB/physical abilities, so there's no doubt that he will get a weapon like Sproles involved in the offense...often.

Respectively disagree. Think they can use either guy in the slot or split while one is in backfield. Can create mismatches with LBs. JMO.

I certainly will not underestimate what Kelly might be able to do with these two

I'm so glad many of you aren't worried because that more than makes up for my worrying. Sproles will be used to create mismatches and no matter whether you end up with Shady or Sproles with the ball in his hands in space... it's going to be ugly for opposing defenses. Sproles and Shady will be used in the same sets. Real talk.

I was kinda hoping we would make an offer to him to bring in that change of pace for DeMarco. Wishful thinking.

It will no doubt make them better but we havent got worse yet. We lost ware but whos to say we can get a de to do what he did last year. Hatcher will be gone but we dont know how his replacements will be yet. Marinelli running the d is a for sure improvement. Time will tell.

Hatcher yes ware meh didnt even know when he was In the game. The defense can't be as bad as last year. But the schedule is harder this year so 8-8 is what they can do at best with or without ware and Hatcher. Might as well go young.
