One of the few things going right this season I suppose. We currently have the #1 offense in the league in terms of total yards.

It's a bit deceptive because our 3rd down percentage is in the low 30s (ranking us in the bottom of the league) and I'm sure our goaline percentage is pretty weak also, meaning that Garrett's best calls come on 1st and 2nd down and his worst calls come when the pressure is on and we need him the most.

Another interesting thing I noted was that San Diego and Dallas are ranked 16 and 17 respectively in ESPN's new power poll. Leave it to Norv and Wade to be nearly tied in regards to causing two very talented teams to regress to mediocre status. I think it's very safe to say that SD and Dallas are both underachieving. Stay classy, Jerry Jones. Freakin idiot.

Just more proof that Stats rarely tell the full story.

Personally, I think people should just judge how well the Cowboys are playing based on what they see on game day.

It could be argued that play calling is part of the problem, but far from all of it.Penalties can take a 3rd. and 3 to a 3rd. and long in a flash with this team, which leads to inconsistant play calling. The lack of scoring in the red zone is caused by penalties, lack of execution and a suspect play call or two.I don't know how many penalty yards this offense has accrued, but I would suspect that it's over 275 yards for the season. It's somewhat amazing to have the #1 offense while averaging a good 55 yards a game in penalties.

I'm loveing it!

I may not like it, but I love it. It's lots of stress with this team...and it goes on, and on, and on...just like every other year.

I read these stats on www.msn.foxsports.com

Dallas 3rd down percentage 36.7 percent which is 19th in the league

Dallas has 37 penalties (4th highest) for 331 yards (3rd highest)

Also a side note..Cowboys had fewest penalties in the league through the first two weeks this season.

Stats can be twisted to make things look better or worse. I do know that Dallas should have a better 3rd down percentage and their turnover ratio percentage needs to increase.

Bingo. Stats should back up observations, never vice versa...
