I agree to one extent that really Crayton is the goat.

Why did he slow down on what would have been the winning TD with 20 seconds left?

It was pretty bad.

Maybe Jacobs was right, he does suck ;)

I pretty much agree. Crayton probably has top 10 hands in the league and he had two drops and a muffed punt. Fasano gets hit in the numbers for a TD and drops the pass. 3 players miss ole man Toomer and he runs in for a touchdown. The O-Line completely fell apart in the second half for whatever reason.

I probably still wouldn't call it a major choke job, but when they had the opportunity to put the Giants in a bad position, they didn't catch the ball, they missed blocks, and they missed tackles.

The gameplan was pathetic. It was almost identicle to watching the Seattle game last year. We are facing a depleted secondary and managed exactly zero big passing plays, and barely even tested them..

I have to agree here. Last year in Seattle against guys who sold insurance the week before we never tested them.

I had the very same feeling at halftime of this game. Why don't you test the secondary when they are playing practice squad guys out there?

It makes me sick to think about it.

Blame to everyone - players and coaches for not having their young players ready.

The better team lost - that hurts.

We beat ourselves!! We should have won this game period!! We have to do something about the penalties.. that's what lost the game, along with our dropped passes.

Crayton played like $h1T.

Game plan was horrible.

Special teams - as usual sucked.

Too many penalties.

This list is a LOT longer but I'm getting carpal tunnel typing it out.

Jerry coaching the team? Im sure he could manage the same amount of playoff success that Bill and Son of Bum have managed.

Hey, I'm not letting the players off the hook Wayne.

Romo needs to get his head out of his arse and stop thinking he's some kind of playboy.

And the number of penalties committed was flat-out insane.

Agreed 100%...he is now a Hollywood QB.

IMO, we need more SPEED on both sides of the ball. Skill position on offense and defensive secondary.

I love Barber, and his physical style is awesome, but his lack of speed does present limitations to the offensive running game. If you watched the Patriots game last night, the difference in the speed Maroney had to the outside and the ability to break the game open was obvious. If you play to give the Pats the run, Maroney can take it the length of the field in a flash.

I'm not blaming Wade Phillips for the loss. But you have to ask yourself, what can you realistically change about this team in one season that will have the greatest impact. I would like to do a roster tunrover but that's not realistic. You can't replace 20 players. Sure, you can get mad and cut them but who are you going to replace them with? You can't do that in the draft and get immediate returns. Teams are going to covet their best players thus they won't trade them. Free agents cost money and franchised players cost precious picks.

So again, what can we do to improve this team's performance next season. I think it starts with the head coach. Coaching is not easy. Parcells was too strict and Wade is too easy. Wade managed the players well in the regular season but he should have been strict and got his players to focus toward the end. Our problems lay with our defense today. Our offense didn't play well but if I had to decide which was worse, I would say it was our defense. How do you give up 74 yards in 46 seconds? How do our players lack such poor tackling mechanics to allow a receiver to break free on the opening drive.

Maybe we need a QB coach to work with Romo. His decision making cost us dearly today. In the 4th quarter, he cost us downs had he done something as simple as throw the ball out of bounds which is what high school QB's are taught. As a QB, you can't be that absent minded and stay inside the pocket and throw it out of bounds. You should know that will yield an intentional grounding penalty.

The Cowboys went into this game thinking they had already won it and got their heads handed to them by a lesser team with multiple injuries, for the second straight game. This team was not properly prepared on any level. Hopefully, everyone will rub Crayton's trash-talking in his face and he won't be doing it next year - nah, probably won't happen.

Looks like we're going to have another one of those "interesting" off-seasons.

2. Parcells was the head coach…Zimmer was the defensive coordinator…we know what we got with that defense. Wade Phillips is the head coach and runs a different style of defense, but we get the same results with the same players. Maybe it’s not the coaching…maybe some of these guys aren’t as good as we pretend they are

I hoped that wasn't the case last season - after last season when placing all the blame squarely at the feet of the previous coaching staff was all the rage. I thought it was, but hoped it wasn't. Then the season started....and I believed it wasn't. Believed the team was growing. Now...I'm pretty sad.

I am not surprised that Owens and Barber are the ones who scored our only TDs. IMO, Owens and Barber (and Witten too) are the only ones who brought their A-game today. They played to win.

It's no wonder Owens was crying. I'd be crying too if I spent 19 hours days rehabbing my ankle to come back to play for a team that played as poorly as they did today. I mean when you give it your all, the expectation is that everyone else will too. Not today.

And happy-go-lucky Wadey poo better get it together in the off season. As every parent knows, it's better for your child to be their parent than to be their friend. I am truly disgusted at what I saw out there. A very undisciplined team.

Wade needs to cut that friendship crap and slap down some hard-nose discipline on them. They might hate him for it in the short run but will appreciate it when they are out on the field not making costly senseless penalties.
