Na the giants game wasn't a typical romo performance. They Giants gave us the underneath dink and dunk stuff and we just took it. Didn't score points didn't challenge deep it's rather embarrassing for us to not have tested CC Brown deep. But hey 41/55 392 3 TD's no INT's 120 QB rating what else could you ask for ?

Yeah it sure wasn't. Stupid Romo taking what the defense gave him. Wonder where he learned that?

And that's probably why Romo is ranked 4th in QB rating all-time. He obviously sucks.

Who cares about QB rating? Yes taking what the defense gives you is good. However not testing a beaten up broken down Giants secondary deep is inexcusable. Also if you look at Romo's numbers when he is a big play QB our WR make big plays. That's how it's been with Romo. You can take what the defense gives you but you also have to try them deep. Look at Eli he tried us deep didn't work. He got picked still tried us deep didn't work. He still took what was given and it worked Steve Smith over the middle was there all day.

It will only be ugly if Romo plays a typical December Romo game and turns the ball over multiple times against us.

He did play very well against the Giants and if he plays like that again it will be a much closer game than I'd prefer.

The problem isn't Romo. The problem is tackling. Fortunately they haven't had back to back bad tackling games this season, hopefully that continues.

You mean testing them like he did in week 2 when he was picked off three times? That would be a great idea... maybe he just learned from his mistakes... If the defense shows up in that game Romo did plenty of work to put us in a position to win. There is no reason we need to score 30+ to beat the Giants... that is inexcusable.

Thank you cause now I'm feeling much better about our chances in this game. I was thinking we had no chance, at all, a few days ago but after seeing this I feel a lot better.

2 of his 3 picks where short routes and the third one should of never been thrown. I'm not sure where you're going with it but you're wrong LoL.

I'm going to the point that he was forcing things ("should of never been thrown") in the first game and it cost us to the tune of 17 points! He did nothing in this game but put in a position to score, and win the game, but the defense and special teams let us down. Either way we lost, but this one wasn't on Romo the way the first one was.

can we put up 30 points? yes.
can we hold them to 30 points?no.

Rivers hits most of his passes and our corners will find it difficult to tackle their big receivers.

You might be able to tackle this week, but the question is how do you defend the mismatches that Gates, Jackson, Floyd, etc are going to present to your secondary?
Hopefully by keeping Rivers on his backside.

And let's not pretend that the San Diego offense is the only unit that will present problems for their counterpart this weekend. Your defense isn't exactly all that, and you're going up against the 3rd ranked offense in the league.

The Chargers could very well win (depending on whether our defense shows up), but I wouldn't expect an easy victory if I were you.

Antonio Gates.
Darren Sproles.

Stop them in the passing game and stop the deep ball. We will lose it will be ugly.
While Gates and Sproles have helped make the Chargers offense explosive, Vincent Jackson is their primary touchdown receiving threat. The keys are 1) keeping him in check and 2) regaining a rushing and passing balance of our own, since opponents have been able to do both against San Diego's defense.

I do expect Philip Rivers to have a very good game. He has protected the ball very well all season while under pressure game-in game-out.

Try not to panic too much in the prediction department.

Gates is not a mismatch... These guys go up against the best TE in the game on a daily basis... there is nothing that Gates does better than Witten. I mean I like the guy and all, but I'm just being honest. He has better stats this season, mostly thanks to the likes of KC and Cleveland... to the tune of almost 1/3 of his season yardage...

And Jackson and Floyd are a tough matchup, but is that all the insight you have? How are you gonna match up with these two? You can say the same thing every week... Did you ask the Ravens, Steelers, or Broncos the same thing too? Apparently they had somewhat of an answer for them... You have to do better than that in here. Where is the real good stuff, like OL vs DL matchups? You know, the dirty stuff... anyone can come talk about those three guys... that's too easy.

Gates >>>> Witten

But of course I don't expect an unbiased opinion from either teams fans on this one. Both are great players, HOF caliber.

Receiving Tight End
Gates > Witten (emphasis on the number of ">")

All-Around Tight End (Receiving & Blocking)
Witten >> Gates

Sorry Rich, but your logic sounds more like a prayer. I hope they win too but that Giant game was lost on two big plays and another drive where the Gnats picked up 54 yds on three consecutive plays. IMO the Chargers are alot more capable of making big plays and picking up big chunks than the Gnats.
