Maybe a pure blocking TE in the 6th round or beyond.

we need to get a FB, we go away at the beginning of the year only go grab a FB late in the year to help us out. lol I mean not like our 2 TE offense isn't lighting up the nfl.

I think we do add another FB. But not an inline blocker type. With Murray, anyway, if we're going to resign him, we need a guy who's a little more athletic who can get to the second level and make blocks in space. The ability to catch the ball, too, would be a big plus. We had that in Fiametta and blew it when we 'upgraded' to that retread inline blocker guy who's name I'm forgetting that everybody fell in love with. (Vickers?).

Last year's FB addition, to be fair to the team, only happened after we'd freed up the RB slot when Dunbar went down for the year. It's not like we didn't think to add one at the start of the season. We preferred the two TE sets and having the change of pass/screen back on the roster. When the spot opened up, FB was the next obvious fit on the list. And then the guy we brought in was not a particularly strong blocker at the point. What he was, though, was a guy who could get to his guy and at least get in his way in space. That's why I expect to see us get a similar player--but one with more athletic ability, overall. Probably in CFA, but possibly as a 6th or 7th rounder, depending how the draft breaks out.

I know we don't need another TE right now due to other pressing needs but I would love to see Troy "Hercules" Niklas in a Pokes uniform. He is going to be another Bavaro IMO. Huge, athletic, improving pass catcher, unreal potential and real young. He is going to be a beast.
