Dallas Would've Been 3-14 without Brandon Aubrey's Points

This is just an unpretentious, what if thread that could be done with any kicker on any team also. I was thinking about Brandon Aubrey's value to the team and wondered how Dallas would have fared in its seven wins and the one tie if Aubrey's points (field goals and extra points) were completely subtracted from the final scores. <Please note: I focused only on the wins and did not care about the team's losses when thinking of this thread>

* Game would not have been tied at the end of regulation minus Aubrey's five extra-point kicks
Would've won 12 games if the defense was competent. Can play this game all day

The whole NFL strategy is field goals . The dumb made for TV kickoffs give you the ball at the 35 - 40 helping even the most inept teams on offense get a crack at splitting the uprights like a walnut .

In this day and age if your teams GM doesn’t have a competent from 50 FG kicker he needs to be fired the NFL is begging for teams to kick FG’s.

Lol yes. OP's approach is so flawed and basic. Newsflash, NFL games are usually close on average and subtracting the kicker's points will mean your score gets subtracted. And many games would then flip.

And it's funny, Dallas loses all their kicking points but we don't do the same for the teams we are facing? :lmao: What kind of logic is this?

I get thinking this is some novel approach but kicking is part of the game and Aubrey gets paid to do this and does it well.
All that work for thread and to be so flawed.

The Balt kicker missing from 44 to send the Ravens to the playoffs instead of Pitt where was Justin Tucks competent long range replacement

You dang hater.
You know... when you type it... it doesn't have quite the same medieval crusader feel to it, you know? It is lacking something... Something important like...

I know! Malice. You must brush up by using the term so often that it carries an air of malice. Start typing it ten times a day for six straight months in your posts. Half a year will pump you up to the bronze 'hater giver' tier.

It is way too early to reach the gold tier though. Just know we can all get there if we stay the course.

:starspin:

And drafting Mendoza with the first pick in the draft.

There was a draft “ expert “ who’s calling Mendoza a stiff rigid QB 4th rounder . Be interesting when I guess the Jets take him how that whole NY experience unfolds .,,.is he another Sanchez / Wilson .

I mean, teams need kickers. I'd imagine many teams would have much worse records doing this.

DallasEast, stop fraternizing with Bob in the moderator lounge. He's poisoning your mind.

Related nugget.

Four of the five kickers with the most points made the playoffs.

The third highest points scorer being the one who didn't.
You know what? Yours may be the first neutrally serious comment made so far based on my intentionally and (should have easily been) transparently frivolous OP. :muttley:

I would assume most means would have a worse record without their kickers points?
Maybe...so do we have a GOOD kicker or not? If we DO...then we're ahead of a lot of teams.

Having said that...seems like a resurgeance in kicker adeptness and appreciation this year. Not sure why doing it for us is so dastardly.

We LOVE our unmentionable player (in THIS thread) that seems to just do his job but when we give some love to the kicker it's disengenuous...pretentious.

I'd say the OP exposed more than intended.

I may have to put this into the AI input to understand it.

All teams would have a lot less wins without kickers? However, right now I wish we had gone 3-14 because with our SOS% we would have the 1st pick in the draft.

I'd say the OP exposed more than intended.
No no no. Please no. I have not and did not intend to expose anything. The OP is simple trivia that fellow members are trying to morph into the meaning of life itself. So please, do not derail the crash outs. Thanks.
