Ed Norton would make an awesome Tom Landry, he is a great actor. Kudos to Amarillo.

Edward Norton would be great. But so would James Franco. After his roll in "Pineapple Express", I think he is due an Oscar.

Jeez but that picture of young Tom in a baseball cap looks like a young Harrison Ford (who is also too old for consideration). Ed Harris was also my first pick for an older Tom. For a younger version, maybe Viggo Mortenson (who paired with Harris in "Appaloosa").

Ed Harris is a clear choice. The things they do with makeup these days makes it even easier.

I think Tommy Lee Jones would have been a great Landry, but clearly the age issue won't work here.

At a little younger point, I think maybe Thomas Hayden Church or Dennis Quaid could do the 50ish Landry.

How about Bill Paxton or Josh Brolin at the 40ish looking point? Still too old?

If I have to go younger than that towards 30ish, how about Josh Duhamel?

I also like the Chris Pine suggestion; I thought he was great in Bottle Shock and looks like the right age if we are looking 30ish.

I think McConaughey would be a good choice. He's got a youthful appearance and he's a Texas boy. He would understand how important a role it would be and I think he would do justice to it.
