The same people mad about losing Damien Wilson would be rolling there eyes if we signed a similar guy, which of course they will to fill the position....

I’m not sure we sign anyone
We have two other guys and Lee
We might draft a guy

Probably not enough of a contract to get any comp pick. There’s only 32 to go around.

Good athlete who often made mistakes. Never consistent. Perennial backup.

Well I don't blame the Cowboys for not wanting what's out there at tight end. That position is going to have to get better through the draft. Nothing out there was going to make them significantly better.
No need they already signed two. Just look at the depth there.
Witten=guaranteed 3 yard out.
Blake = unproven but got better
Rico=future HoF
Former Rams fourth string TE

Sarcasm post based on dissatisfaction with what the front office is doing.

I completely forgot about our obsession with comp picks and how we can’t sign good free agents because it will cost us comp picks.

Note, I am not saying we should have kept Wilson. Just a general comment on our dogged desire to accumulate comp picks in lieu of actually signing good free agents.
