Daniel Allen Campbell, also known as “MCDC” is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. The former tight end who now plies his trade as the head coach for the Detroit Lions in the NFL previously worked as the assistant head coach for the New Orleans Saints from 2016 to 2020.

Any idea which player he's referring to?

How could anyone attached to an NFL team be a......every day he came in reeking of alcohol......what??? That would happen one time and that would be it.

So assume this is a player from 2015 due to when Dan was promoted to HC.

Guys still in the league:
Tannehill
Jarvis Landry
DeVante Parker
Kenny Stills
Billy Turner(g/t)
Jordan Phillips
Suh
Neville Hewitt
Bobby McCain

In 2015 Parker wasn't a hard worker. Turner sucked. Phliips was a project and overweight. Suh was known to freelance at times.
Landry was producing at a Hugh level thanks to volume.
Hewitt was an UDFA who didn't t do much that year.
McCainwas a rookie who eventually played slot.
I forget how Stills did in 15.

Campbell came to Miami in 11 and Incognito was there till 2013 season.

Could be Richie as Dan was the TE coach and Richie was a great guard for them.

RI has struggled with alcohol abuse.

He said the guy is still playing so doesn't that exclude Richie?

We all work with this person. They may not be drunk right now, but they were last night!

He hasn't retired; he's a free agent. He was on a roster last season and then went on IR. Doesn't seem unreasonable that Campbell would say, "still playing today" as an off-the-cuff comment to cap off his story.

He says never missed an assignment at the end so most likely either talking about a blocker or defensive player.

I would reckon that several Cowboys in the 90’s dynasty days came in every morning reeling of booze too. But they still won as long as Jimmy controlled the ship.
