That was quick.

Guess Zorn had a meeting with Allen at 4am and has been told to take hike.

ESPN reporting that Shanny is the favorite and the Skins interviewed an assistant in order to fulfill the Rooney Rule interviews.

Pretty slimey IMO. Didn't even bring in an outsider for their trick and pony show of an interview. Doesn't really matter anyway, they want Shanny and I really think teams should get Rooney Rule exemptions if they are to hire a Superbowl Champion coach.

I understand why the Rooney Rule is there but you can't tell me that there are many more qualified guys available than Shanny. On the flip side, I realize that those mock interviews could help a guy out later if owners discuss how impressed they are with a guy and word gets around the league.

Useless but potentially useful so whatever I suppose.

Anyway, quick work by the Skins.

4am? Good grief. Can't even let the man sleep until a decent hour before you can him. Or they could have told him last night.

I have also heard he was met by Commanders security and basically escorted off as soon as the plane touched down around 2 AM. Pretty classless move by Snyder if true.

It's been reported here that the organization's been told they'll have to do their token interview(s) over again, since the job was technically not open when they did it the first time.

Buncha' snakes.

Hmm...not sure about that as it was reported before that they asked the league about interviewing the assistant and to see if it met the requirement for the rules and they were told it did. That was reported last week during our game.

Either way, they will get the guy they want and anything in between is just window dressing.

I expect nothing to change with the Commanders. They still will suck even with Shanny. They will have a better running game though. Still no QB threat and I've never though Shanny could draft worth a crap. Don't know about George Allen's son though. Still with Idiot behind the scenes, I'm sure continued implosion is imminent.

If that is true than anyone who takes that job is a fool.

No kidding. Shanny could get a job elsewhere and if he takes this one? Wow. I man, Shanny is supposed to be an extremely classy guy. Why would he take a job from a classless jerk?

That's pretty much true with every HC hiring. Owners typically have a very short list of candidates they are considering and add a few extras to meet with the "rule".

I think Jerry has done a very good job of interviewing candidates over the years and not usually settling for the guy he wanted in the first place. He went after Parcells and promoted Campo but he interviewed a lot of guys before going with Switzer, Gailey, & Phillips.

I saw it posted somewhere this morning where he was told on the flight home that he was fired and to pack his stuff immediately when they got back. So I'm not shocked that they escorted him off like that immediately.

Typical Dan Snyder.

was fired when he got off the plane at 4am. He was escorted to his office by security, cleaned his stuff out and left. I'm glad he got his money and didn't let lil' Dan cow him into quitting and not getting paid. He deserves every cent for putting up with that scumbag. Stay classy Lil' Dan!!!!!!:lmao2:

How many years does Zorn get to collect a check?

He'll just get the remainder of his contract, 100%. Good for him. I hope Shanahan enjoys what he's got coming to him.
