Just a thought,
I know many of us were disappointed when Dan Reeves was not hired as a consultant. If DeCamillis is out for an extended period of time (and some news reports have mentioned that a long and extensive rehabilitation period will be needed), why not hired Coach Reeves as an interim special teams coach?
1. He is DeCamillis's Father-in-Law, so there should not be any friction between the two.
2. It offers a "face saving" way for both Jones and Reeves to resolve their "dispute."
3. Presumably Reeves would be able to offer some sage advice outside of special teams.
4. I believe that Reeves (early in his career) has coached special teams, so he does have some experience in this area.
5. When DeCamillis is healthy, Reeves can slide into the consultant's role everyone had originally envisioned.
Well--its a bit crazy, but I hope this could happen. What do you think?
